So we opened up AoA on 5/31/12 and we stayed in Building 4: Mr. Ray. Here are some of the pics from our room. It was a special access room (handicap) as that's all they had left, but the only difference is the size of the bathroom for wheelchair access.

Wow. Thanks for posting, it looks really cute! Glad you posted one with the bed pulled down, I was wondering what that would look like.

What you can't see in the picture is an LED light at the top that is controlled by a switch located on the top of the headboard. It's a round knob that controls the intensity of the light so kids can either use it as a night light at it's lowest setting or can turn it up to play games or just have light while on the bed.

Really want to see what others that have been there have to say about the comfort of the pull down bed and the sofa bed. Hopefully someone will post about this with adults using them and not just kids. TIA

How comfy is the pull out bed and the sofa bed?

The queen size bed in the master bedroom is a bit on the stiff side, but it's not too bad - I'd prefer it to be a bit softer, but that's just my preference. The two full sized beds on the pullout couch and the murphy bed were more comfortable to me. The kids slept on the murphy bed and the pullout couch was great as I used it to watch the "Must Do's" (love watching Stacy:love: ) and regular TV late at night. The kids slept great through the night and woke up refreshed each morning, so I guess it's comfortable for them to sleep on. I didn't sleep on the murphy bed as they wouldn't let me on it  past 10pm. I did lie on it for quite some time playing with the kids and I thought it was great - not too soft and not too hard; just like the sleeper sofa.

The pillows at this resort are not as big and poofy as the pillows at the other resorts. I really enjoyed the size of the pillows at AoA and was the first time I didn't wake up with a pain in my neck due to the really large pillows found at all other resorts.

Thanks for posting the pictures as it is so much better to see real photos instead of the drawings we have been seeing for months :thanks:

thanks so much for the detailed info!

Thanks so much for all of the great pictures. How was the main Nemo pool with the underwater music? I just think that is so awesome and a great creative detail!! Trying to talk my family into spending the week before Christmas here! *fingers crossed*:rolleyes1

It was fun hearing the music underneath the water. It's clear and doesn't sound garbled or muffled. It's like you have a pair of earphones on and listening to the music through them. It's also a zero-entry pool like the one at AKL.

Great pic! I have never stayed at a value resort, but I really want to stay here! I cant get over how cool it looks. Is there one main bus stop or are there a few in each section? How were the food options?
