Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

Great update!!!

NO!!! Not cheerleaders!!! :scared:

Sounds like a great morning in Future World -- poor Chris thinking SSE was going to be a roller coaster! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

OMG! Im behind, AGAIN! I can't seem to keep track of your TR for some reason :confused3

Sounds like a good morning at Epcot!

:lmao: I think it's too funny you told Chris there was a rollercoaster in SE!!!

Holy cow about the big lady in purple body checking you! There are some seriously crazy people at WDW!!

Your lunch sound delicious!! We've never ate at sunshine seasons! I keep hearing good things about it! We may have to try it!!

Man, I hope nobody body checks me at Disney!!!! People are just so inconsiderate of others.

Those sandwiches at Sunshine Seasons look sooo yummy!!!!

Yeah it is strange to me STILL... worknig here since April... scary side/bad side of casinos I mean the things they stand for here and the kissing butt to "high rollers" and the amounts of $$ I will never see in a LIFETIME, of even my whole families $$ combined! its sickening!!! its NOT at all what i thought it would be unfortunately.. and we are SO underpaid!!! I thought 'casino marketing' would be fun too but its alot of being a punch-bag...we take alot of heat.. and theres so many constant changes...
Did you even realize a casino doesnt have windows or any sort of clocks.. they think humans are dumb and will lose 'track of time so they can lose more $$ to the casino'....thats why theres no windows or clocks or sense of time because they DONT want you to know.. its like seriously? we are not dumb..
I understand everyone has the control to GO to a casino.. I understand that completely...heck my bf and I just went to AC like you guys.. but we see it in a different way.. we play for fun.. and we play *SMALL* amounts of $$.. we dont go there exepcting the casino to wait on us hand and foot.. like everyone thinks here!

unfortunately its crazy and no 1 will really know what it is like until they work for one.. like me:( ..
did you see the billboards by chance on the way to AC
"everyones a loser" ..
apparently they have employee problems down there too .. underpaid..treated unfairly etc!

sorry for my rant its just a craaaazy place ill tell yah! i need something more happier and where i'm doing something "good" or helpful.. and "means something" .. like even your job! thats so much better!!! :)

Wowwww I've heard that about casinos that there's no clocks or windows and the sick thing is, even though it seems weird to us, there are people who do sit at the tables allllll night long just playing because 1) they have tons of money and 2) they're addicts! Its sad but true.

WHen we were in AC we only brought $100 each to gamble with! LOL I did see those signs "everyones a loser" which is really sad for the casino workers! I'm sorry that you dont like it! Have you looked for a new job?

I just finished catching up on your report. It sounds like you had a great day at DHS. That is my family's favorite park. I know my daughter will want to see the AI show when we go back. How much time does it take to see one?

DHS was great and I have a new appreciation for it after this past trip. We didn't get to do a few things that we wanted to and can't wait to get the chance to! The AI show is fun, it takes 25 mins for a whole show. Not bad at all!

I saw the movie 21 too, and have read that it's based on real experiences. The movie is entertaining, but scary.

Yes I heard it was based on true stuff too, crazy!

The picture of the bird topiary is so cool! I don't think I've seen that before.

The eels in that fish tank freaked me out. At first I didn't see them. Then when I did, I saw another one, and another one...and suddenly they were everywhere. Yuck! That mom should have apologized to you for running you over. Don't let your kids wander if you are going to freak out!

Your sandwiches look yummy!

Thanks! I think the bird topiary is from Fantasia I read on someone else's report. Maybe not, I may also just be confused HAHA

The eels are gross! Just cool looking haha I really figured the huge body checking lady would have at least said sorry but apparently she belongs in the percentage of RUDE people in WDW!

The sandwiches were great!

Great update!!!

NO!!! Not cheerleaders!!! :scared:

Sounds like a great morning in Future World -- poor Chris thinking SSE was going to be a roller coaster! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

The cheerleaders were taking over! And loud! Ughhh

FW was fun aside from the Imagination pavillion. Chris didn't think it was funny when I told him SSE was a rollercoaster :rotfl:

Epcot was great so far aside from the Imagination pavillion LOL Chris was believing everything I was telling him about the rides, it was funny. He didn't think so! :lmao:

Some people at WDW need to learn manners! Lunch was good, definitely try Sunshine Seasons, so yummy!!

Man, I hope nobody body checks me at Disney!!!! People are just so inconsiderate of others.

Those sandwiches at Sunshine Seasons look sooo yummy!!!!

Some people in WDW are just so rude, she could have at least said sorry!

Sunshine Seasons was delish!

When I last left off we had just finished up our yummy lunch at Sunshine Seasons! If you need a quick service place to eat in Future World, I would definitely recommend eating there!

It was going on 2 now and we still had a good hour and a half until our Soarin' FPs were good so we decided to head over to Test Track and see what the wait time was over there. I was sooo excited to ride this one because I really knew Chris would love it since he's so obsessed with cars. We got to TT and the posted wait time was 60 mins but based on the previous 5 days, the wait times had all been listed longer than it actually took. So since we had no plans at this point anyway, we hopped on line. We ended up being right at the actual entrance doorway when we got there. Actually I just noticed this picture and I don't know the child and am not sure exactly where I took it but it comes before the TT pictures...I just wanted a picture of Chip and Dale LOL
295.jpg

Then a few from the TT queue
296.jpg

297.jpg

He really was happy, I swear!
298.jpg

Finally it was our turn! It was hard to get a picture of him since we were sitting right next to eachother!
299.jpg

I love TT!! So did Chris! It was so much fun and the whole wait and ride combined only took 45 mins. Also, am I the only one who thinks TT needs to be longer? Its so short and such a great ride needs to be extended!

Ok I just realized thats the only pictures that I have uploaded! :headache: Ughh I hate photobucket so much...I'm going to go upload the rest and I'll be back in a little while with the rest of this update!

I'm here !popcorn:: I couldn't agree more about photobucket.. darn thing is so complicated esp. with sizing pictures!!
YES the Test Track should be longer.. its so funny WAYYY back when I first went on the ride when it opened you know how they chose the "course" in which the car goes.. I believe its TEST COURSE B.. well to the right of the car when it goes up in the beginning of the ride.. there was a COUSE A... I thought.. :rotfl: that there was another version of the ride and there were 2 different courses(both leading to the track outside of course)! :lmao: you know.. like how theres 2 versions of the 'Great Movie Ride' and how you can go into 2 entrances at the "Pirates of the Carribean". haha.. yup.. I thought it had the same thought concept..

Cool thing behind TT--its pretty neat because when I got to work for Disney then.. I had to practically walk under the outside track it was on the pathway from the Cast Member parking, and then our "break area" was right next to the outside track as well.. so I would constantly hear the cars... "zooooom" .. "zoooom".. and honestly it didn't bother me one bit! I would also know when impending weather would be upon us when I would hear NO zoooms .. that or it was another "technical difficulty"--haha they have them frequently.

Ok, I'm back with the rest of the pictures! Photobucket was actually pretty nice to me this time around. Anyway, back to the TR.

Pictures from after TT..

Of course Chris had to salivate over these 2..
300.jpg

301.jpg

Into the gift shop
302.jpg

We still had a good 45 mins to wait for Soarin' so we grabbed some frozen cokes from the stand over by TT and headed to Pixie Hollow and the Butterfly Garden! OMG this is all so cute and beautiful! Idk how those chains keep the butterflies inside the garden area.
303.jpg

304.jpg

Tink!
305.jpg

So many cacoons
306.jpg

Me and my camera's lame attempts at shots of the butterflies
307.jpg

308.jpg

309.jpg

310.jpg

Then inside Pixie Hollow they had topiaries of all the different pixies from the Tinkerbell movie, which I've yet to see. I can't remember their names though, shame on me.
311.jpg

312.jpg

OK I remember this one's name is Iridessa
313.jpg

314.jpg

I thought this was soooo pretty
315.jpg

We still had time before our FPs! We didn't think it was worth it to walk all the way over to the WS and then have to come back for Soarin' so we just waited over by the super cool dancing fountains
316.jpg

At this point I realized I should have thought of a better touring plan for FW. Oh well, you live and learn. I just felt like we wasted time that could have been better spent. Also, I was trying to convince Chris to go ride Mission: Space by himself. After the problems I'd been having with motion simulator rides so far this trip, I didn't want to chance ruining the rest of my day at Epcot by riding it. But he wouldn't do it without me so he missed out on the fun!

After we waited by the fountains for a while we just walked back over to the Land. These were called "Bada Bing" flowers so we took a picture knowing that they were from NY, just like us :goodvibes
317.jpg

We still had a good 15-20 mins before Soarin' so instead of just sitting there and waiting we hopped on line to do Living with the Land. It was better than just sitting around doing nothing. We waited like 5 mins and got on.

318.jpg

I didn't get why there were alligators here...
320.jpg

321.jpg

No need to post the rest as you've all seen them before. The only thing that we didn't see was the "Earning My Ears" tomatoes or anything. Many people find Living with the Land boring but we thought it was a great way to pass the time before Soarin'. Finally when we were done it was our turn to ride over California!! We waited about 15 mins on the FP line but the standby wait was like 100 mins so we weren't complaining. We got the back row which I was a little upset about but we didn't want to waste anymore time waiting for the front so we just took it. Then it was our turn! I love smelling the oranges and just seeing all the beautiful sites on this ride. Anytime there were people on the screen like in the white water rafting part or the golfing part, Chris and I were pretending to kick them in the head LOL We were laughing and thought it was funny haha Although I do love Soarin' a whole lot, I certainly would never wait 100 mins for it! Good thing for FPs.

We were done with Soarin' around 4 and finally could head over to the World Showcase! Here's some beautiful F&G Festival stuff

continued in next post....

You mentioned 'Living with the Land'..your right alot of people think its boring.. but your like me.. I don't find it boring at all! I actually enjoy it..and heres a question for you.. when you guys went did you have an actual "LIVE" person who guided and spoke to you as you floated around.. when me and my boyfriend went last July.. we didnt:sad1: I'm like oooo no not another cut because of the economy.. like cutting back in certain locations of Cast Members.. but I loved when someone would talk!

But its always interesting and relaxing to go on the "Living With The Land" .. I love the very beginning where when you first come in and look up to the left you see the restaurant rotating every so slowly.. and the house right there .. hehe..

Do you remember "Food Rocks!!" that was there.. gosh .. way back now before Soarin' was put in. I so remember that.. haha:laughing:

continued from previous post...

We got to the little walkway before you enter WS and stopped at the hat shop they have over there.

First we took some shadow pictures..
325.jpg

Then tried to get a heart with our hands in the shadow...didn't turn out as planned and I think its funny how small my hand it compared to Chris's LOL
327.jpg

Then I really wanted some ears/hats for us. I told Chris I would buy it for him if he'd wear it. He tried this one on first..
329.jpg

But it was like $30 or something. Not spending that much on one hat. We decided on these ones...
330.jpg

idk why that picture is pink. Its the background on my laptop and it's not pink there so idk if photobucket messed it up or I did somehow LOL So I got the ears from the night before at DHS and Chris got the Goofy hat with Goofy ears. I took my hair down soon after I saw that picture because with the ears on and my hair up, I look bald LOL I took some topiary shots over there too.

Beauty and the Beast, my fave as you know..
326.jpg

328.jpg

Lion King, definitely in my top 5
331.jpg

332.jpg

Hopefully we'll see some of these at AKV when we're there in Nov/Dec!
333.jpg

334.jpg

We entered WS on the Canada side, obviously. First up we saw the Bambi topiary
335.jpg

336.jpg

Some Canada pavillion shots
337.jpg

338.jpg

Don't know these kids
339.jpg

We walked around in the Canada shops and I think it was here that we saw a shirt that said "Beauty is in the eye of the Beerholder" that we wanted to get for Chris but they only had one and it was in a size small. Obviously not going to work so we asked the CM working there if they had anymore and she said they didn't have them anymore :(

Next up was the UK! Of course everyone needs a phone booth shot. It was pretty hot out though so Chris didn't want to go in the sweltering phone booth.
340.jpg

Then we heard some music coming from behind one of the buildings so we walked back there and The British Invasion was playing! If you all remember, Chris is obsessed with live music so we had to watch for a bit.
341.jpg

342.jpg

They're really good! I didn't mind watching them except for that there was no place shaded to sit or even stand.

Next up:: the rest of WS and Teppan Edo dinner!

Whoa! We were doing an update for our TR's at the same time!

Oh gosh...TT. That blue car..our boys..We might get them out of there over break!

I wish I would've been able to see all the Pixie Hollow stuff! It looks so cool!

 You guys look so cute in your pics. Even if you look "bald". :lmao: You can see your hair on the sides, so I don't think it's that bad!

Woo hoo! I'm actually not late this time! I did lose your thread!

TT is one of the rides we've never done! I'm hoping to do it in January! Not sure that DH with all his motion sickness will but at least I can leave Ryan with him and not have to baby swap!

Great, beautiful F&GF pictures! DH and I though the same thing about the chains in the butterfly thing! No way is that keeping them in there! When someone pushes open the chains the butterflies can easily fly out!

Wow-I just spent the whole afternoon reading your TR! I was reading an update on CP's TR & then started reading yours. I loved the part that your parents were celebrating their 25th anniv. as my DH & I will be doing next May & going to Disney. It will be our first trip without kids!! We have taken our 2 DS's on 6 trips. They will be 21 & 17 when we go next year & I am having a hard time thinking of going without them:lmao: I am so enjoying this report. I love the pics of your bf with the princess hat. Too cute!! We really enjoyed the American Idol Experience when we were there. I did not think my 2 DS's were going to enjoy it but they wanted to go see the final show also so we did that & the guy that won in the first show we saw also won in the final show. I could comment on so much but do not want to hijack your thread so I will just wait for your next update..

Yay I caught up! I loveddddd the AI Experience but mostly because I am obsessed with AI! I kinda thought the Paula Judge was annoying, though. And I just about peed my pants when I read about your muppet lady!! That IS mean under normal circumstances, but if she was being annoying then you have every right to call he a muppet!

I loved Chris in the Disney Princess hat too, OMG!! And where did you go to record singing a song/saying a scene?! Ive never heard you could do that before! The purple lady at Turtle Talk would make me mad too, I HATE when people can't say excuse me and then shove you!!

Can't wait for more...I'll try not to let myself get so behind now!

I thought it had the same thought concept.. haha that's funny that you thought that about TT but some of the rides like the ones you named are like that so you had the right idea! LOL That would be pretty cool if TT was actually like that too.

Cool thing behind TT--its pretty neat because when I got to work for Disney then.. I had to practically walk under the outside track it was on the pathway from the Cast Member parking, and then our "break area" was right next to the outside track as well.. so I would constantly hear the cars... Ahhhh I think I would LOVE to have hearing the zooms from the TT cars as part of my JOB! I sooo wish that when I was in college I knew about the college program. I would dieeeee to do it now.

You mentioned 'Living with the Land'..your right alot of people think its boring.. but your like me.. I don't find it boring at all! Living with the Land was a great way to pass some time. It's obviously not like a must do for every trip but it was good. We didn't have a live guide either, just the recording. It was cool to know that they actually use a lot of the food they grow on the ride in the food at WDW. I don't remember Food Rocks :headache: As a kid I wasn't a huge Disney addict like I am now LOL

Whoa! We were doing an update for our TR's at the same time!

As soon as I finished updating I saw that you updated too LOL

Our boys are never going to wanna leave the TT area and are going to talk about cars the entire time I'm sure! Pixie Hollow was really cute! And I totally look bald in that picture, hair down totally worked better

Woo hoo! I'm actually not late this time! I did lose your thread!

Glad you found my thread again Melissa! Your family would LOVE TT! I don't think it would really effect motion sickness that much unless your DH has SUPER sensitive motion sickness. Either way, your kiddos will love it!

Those chains were not keeping all those butterflies in. Maybe they didn't care if some flew away since there were soo many cacoons? :confused3

Welcome and glad you joined in!! :goodvibes My parents celebrated their 25th anniversary on June 3rd and ate at the YS (as you read LOL). They enjoyed it there but didn't spend their whole anniversary in WDW because they're not really big Disney people :confused3 You and your DH I'm sure deserve a vacation alone and 6 trips? Your sons have been there a lot!

Chris thought he looked cute in that Disney princess hat HAHA We both enjoyed AI, especially him. We didn't get to go to the finale like CHris wanted to but we will next time we're there. And anytime you want to hijack the thread, don't worry about it! I don't mind :thumbsup2

Yay I caught up! I loveddddd the AI Experience but mostly because I am obsessed with AI! I kinda thought the Paula Judge was annoying, though. Can't wait for more...I'll try not to let myself get so behind now!

Hey girl! We liked the AI experience too! Chris can't wait to go and see the finale next time we're there. And that muppet CM deserved it! It wasn't like I called her fat or ugly, just said she looked like a muppet, thats all :lmao:

Chris thought he was funny in those hats LOL The sing a song thing was in the Animation building in DHS. The body checking lady needed to get hit but she was huge so I refrained LOL

Great update! I have to say that Soarin is my favorite ride at DCA in California. Even though I have lived all over California, it is easy to take for granted how beautiful it is here. The smells, the pictures. That ride just makes me so happy!

The picture of the F&G Festival where the monorail track is reflecting in the water is gorgeous!

Glad that Chris enjoyed Test Track -- normally I really like it, too!

I don't think you were wasting time in Future World -- it sounds like you were having a nice, relaxing day enjoying all of the Flower and Garden stuff! :thumbsup2

Love the your ears and Chris' Goofy hat!!! Too cute!!!

Can't wait to hear what you thought of Teppan Edo!

I can't wait to try Test Track!!!

Love the ears and the hat. I can't wait to wear my bride ones. We'll see if Mike actually wears his.

All the topiaries are so cute. I love the Bambi one and The Lion King One.

popcorn:: OK! I'm sooooo along for this ride! You guys are really fun!! I'm a little bummed that I just became a Disney freak in 2006!!! I would have loved to be as young as you & your DBF when we first started going to Disney! Oh well....we're hooked now! Well, at least I am...DH still isn't convinced that it's the best EVER but me the kids totally are!!!

Can't wait to read more updates & see more of your really fun pics! :cutie:

Thats the beautiful part of Soarin, it's not a thrill ride by any means its more of just a ride to make someone happy. California is gorgeous and how can you not get the chills when you smell those oranges and see Tink over the castle?!

That picture actually did come out nice, one of the only ones of the trip with my dumb camera! haha

Glad that Chris enjoyed Test Track -- normally I really like it, too!

Can't wait to hear what you thought of Teppan Edo!

I'm surprised you had a moment where you second guessed TT! That's ok, maybe you rode it later in your trip ;)

I guess I felt like we were wasting time because we felt like Figment and Honey I Shrunk the Audience were wastes and we were taking it slow, something that we didn't do in any other park!

Thanks for the compliments on the ears! My Teppan Edo review should be up by Wednesday! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to try Test Track!!!

Love the ears and the hat. I can't wait to wear my bride ones. We'll see if Mike actually wears his.

All the topiaries are so cute. I love the Bambi one and The Lion King One.

You will love TT! Its so much fun, just too short!

The ears are fun to wear and its great because, no one cares! I mean, where else in the world could you walk around with a silly hat on like that and not get laughed at or even second guessed? No where! You just have to love the ears LOL Chris did take his off though until after we had dinner because he said it was too hot and his head was sweating which was true because I could see the sweat when he took it off

popcorn:: OK! I'm sooooo along for this ride! You guys are really fun!! I'm a little bummed that I just became a Disney freak in 2006!!! Welcome and glad you found my TR!! Honestly, I just became a Disney freak last year! Just happens I was only 21 last year LOL But I wasn't one as a kid or even as a teen. But its never too late so don't feel like that! My BF and I are totally hooked now, even though its hard to get him to admit it to other people but I know the truth  Stay tuned for the rest of the report!
