***** EXCELLENT! **** VERY GOOD! *** GOOD ** OK

For our dining reviews, I asked each person in my family to come up with one word to describe their “overall experience” at each restaurant. And as you will see, each of them gave their own ratings on food, atmosphere & service. Hope you enjoy our reviews! Any questions? Ask away!

DGS2 “I rode a horse and said ‘Yee Haw!’”
DGD5 “Best fun!”
DS9 “Cowboy-tastic!” :teeth:
DS18 “Awesome!”
DSG21 “Yee Haw!”
DD25 “Outlandlish-in a good way!”
DSIL29 “Overzealous”
ME “Laid back”
DH “Fun”

We found the WCC to be charming and corny and “rustic”-all wrapped up in a fun sort of way. It was very warm and inviting-simply put, a great place to kick up your heels and unwind after a long day of park hoppin’! A fantastic place for kids, too-how many places let you run around during dinner on a wooden horse hoopin’ and hollerin’?!

Everyone ordered the “All You Care To Eat” Skillet Dinner and the infamous bottomless milkshakes. Having it served family style made this good meal excellent! And the terms "all you care to eat" and "bottomless" were right on target-food and shakes were constantly refilled without us having to ask for anything.
The salad was very fresh & the apple vinaigrette was yum-yum-yummy! Even though they were a bit on the dry side, everyone really enjoyed both the pork ribs and the pulled pork. A good smokey flavor. A little sauce on the side would have made them finger lickin’ good. The roasted chicken was cooked just right-crisp on the outside and moist & tender inside. It was a hit with everyone. The sausage? Hmmm. It was ok-nothing to write home about. Same with the cornbread. The sides were all very good. The corn was hot & sweet and the mashed Yukon Gold potatoes were so creamy and buttery-yum yum! The beans were good, too-sweet & tangy. The coleslaw was the best I have ever had-a ton of flavor!
Now, onto those bottomless shakes! They were a huge hit with our gang! Thick & rich-just like a good shake should be! We tried all the flavors-chocolate, vanilla, strawberry & orange. I don’t think there was a favorite flayor for us. Yum! Yum!
Bar Tab: We ordered 3 drinks which came to a total of $32.37. Two of them (a 28 oz. draft beer and The Margarita of The Day) came in WCC souvenir yards. Tacky? Yeah. Fun? Absolutely!

We had a 5:10 reservation and were seated almost immediately. It was a very laid back meal-never once did we feel rushed in anyway. Happily, again, we were all seated at one table. I must say, the antics of several of the other servers were quite annoying. They were just sooo monotonous and soo loud but without much “ommph.” However, our server, Prairie Girl, was wonderful & absolutely charming! :thumbsup2 She had us smiling & laughin’ all evening. The napkins and straws were flying! My unknowing DH asked for another soda and was taken aback when he was served that HUGE mason jar with two straws. Even having her take pictures of us was a hoot-with her balancing up on chairs to “get the best shots.” If you ever go to WCC, try and get Prairie Girl. You won’t be disappointed!

FOOD BILL: $237.59 (without dessert) if we had paid OOP
BAR BILL: $32.37
TOTAL BILL: $269.96

Man, I could go for one of those orange shakes right about now…;)

Yeah!! A good review of WCC. We are going in about 2 weeks. There have been so many mixed reviews I was thinking of changing my ADR. We will be staying at WL for the 1st time so I thought it was a must do.

:rotfl2: Okay, I think "cowboy-tastic!" is going to be a new catchphrase! I love it.

I'm glad you had such a good time. We love WCC, too, it's a must-do for us each trip.

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

I am glad that you liked it here. We went to the canyon the day before we left. I could not wait all week to eat there. Thought we would have so much fun. BIG disappointment!! My husband and I both ordered our appitizers, and then we just got the cheeseburgers. We are both not fans of ribs so we didnt order the skillet. Anyway, our waitress was not fun at all. My 1 year old took my straw out of my cup and threw it on the floor, so I didnt have a straw. I waited, and waited, and waited for our waitress to come to the table so I can get a new one. Finally she did. Then a few minutes later, our burgers come out. We still did not get our appitzers! We needed ketchup, again waited, and waited, and waited. Finally she brought our ketchup. Then our appitizers finally came. The burgers were not good at all! In fact they were the worst I ever had. There wasnt too much fun going on while we were there. They did hae everone do the hookie pokie, but that was about it. I would not go there again.

I am so sorry that your experience at WCC was so disappointing! Just hope your other dining experiences were enjoyable!

Another great review!
Glad you had so much fun... you have me wishing I was there with you!

We were also very disappointed. We ate there this past week and had terrible sevice. We had thought at first that our waitress was pretending to be a bad server as part of her routine but it was no act. We had to order everything all at once, even dessert. My husband got the bottomless shake but when it came out it was the wrong flavor but he drank it anyway. Someone else brought out our food. Our waitress never came to check on us. She sat at one of the other tables chatting for about 20 minutes which may have been great for them but left us with no server. My husband drank his shake before our food arrived and was not able to get a refill until our desserts were brought out. Service was extremely slow. We were there for around 2 1/2 hours. It was the second time we have eaten there and we will not be back. It was the worst service we have ever gotten anywhere on property. We do not have any children and if she did not want to do the "fun" stuff with us that would have been fine but I feel we should have at least had decent normal service. I wondered if it was because we had the dining plan and she knew she would be getting the tip anyway.

Sorry to hear you had such a disappointing meal! I don't think it was becasue you were on the dining plan as we were also on the plan. I wonder if it has something to do with the time of day? What time did you go? Just a thought.

Thanks for the review, sounds like a great time! :dance3:

Our reservation was for 5:50 so I don't think it was the time of day.
I was just curious as many of the negative reviews for various restaurants that I have read lately seemed to be at late ADR times.

We ate there 9/27. It was great. We had 5:50 ADR's. However, we were there for 2 hours. Service was very slow. Food was excellent! The all you can eat skillet is a must.

We had fun there too our waitress called all the little 5 year old girls to the table to sing happy birthday to my son who was 5 then she asked for colunteers to give him a kiss the girls aren't shy at this age. He turned bright red. :teeth:

Maybe we had the same waitress.
