DH and I just got back from our 9/23 - 9/30 trip! We had ADR's and went to the following. We were seated VERY promptly at all the restaurants...less than 5 minutes wait each place.

9/23 - Liberty Tree Tavern at 3pm - lunch menu, we both had the pot roast and it was awesome!! DH got the berry cobbler and I had the toffee cake and it was great too!

9/24 - Wolfgang Puck Cafe in Downtown Disney - 5:30pm - DH got the macadamia crusted chicken and I had steak. Both were very very good. Carrot cake and key lime pie for desserts. The carrot cake was a huge piece...I only ate about 1/3 of it.

9/25 - Sci Fi Drive in at Hollywood Studios - 4:35pm - we didn't know anything about this restaurant and we LOVED it! What a fun concept. We both got cheeseburgers and fries. DH had apple cobbler for dessert and I got a hot fudge sundae. The food was very good, even though it was dark and we could barely see it!

9/26 - Big River Grille at the Boardwalk - 5pm - we arrive 30 minutes late (we called them) due to the rain storm. It was not quite as fancy as I expected it would be, but the food was great. DH had steak and I got hazelnut crusted chicken which was good, but I like the Wolfgang Puck macadamia nut crusted better! I can't remember what we had for dessert...I do know I was too full to eat much of it though!

9/27 - Whispering Canyon Cafe - Wilderness Lodge - 4:05pm - We were not in the main restaurant, but on the piece that is out in the lobby area and it was nice...quieter. DH got the all you can eat platter...holy cow that is a lot of food. Best mashed potatoes I have ever tasted too!! He also got a chocolate shake which he let me taste..yummy! I got penne pasta with chicken and vegetables dish which was good...a little plain but I was looking for plain. We both got apple dumpling pie for dessert that she packed to-go and we ate it for breakfast the next day! Fun place!

9/28 - LaHacienda San Angel in Epcot - 5:30pm - we arrived at 5pm and they took us right away. This was one we were considering cancelling and OMG I am glad we didn't! It was SOOO good! We got the Parrillada La Hacienda that is for two people to share. Wow great chicken and steak, veggies, beans, rice...really really tasty. Mango ice cream for dessert was just right too!

9/29 - We had ADR's at Planet Hollywood but cancelled and went to Wolfgang Puck again. We both had the macadamia crusted chicken again and it was SO good. For dessert we took a piece of carrot cake back to the room and we shared a chocolate lava cake while there...best lava cake we have ever had.

9/30 - Flew home at 2:50 pm so we went into the Magic Kingdom for a cinnamon roll. Was a little disappointed in it...kind of dry and not as gooey as I remembered it! But still not terrible or anything!

We also had some lunches ... Pecos Bills...I had the chicken wrap and DH had a burger. It was good. ....Electric Umbrella...we both had chicken nuggets, he had fries, I had grapes that tasted like soap....Captain Cooks at the Poly....food was fine, but the place was pretty dirty... Earl of Sandwich....yummy as always! BLT and a Hawaiian BBQ sandwich. Brownie for dessert was good!

All in all, every meal was GREAT! We had been disappointed that we were unable to get ADR's at Ohana or Kona, especially since we were staying at Poly, but in the end we didn't mind at all!!

Couple questions if you don't mind :)

Is Wolfgang Puck's a TS or a QS?

What did you have at Captain Cook's, I've heard they have a macaroni and cheese meal that is real good.

Thanks for any response.

Thanks for the review! We made an ADR for La Hacienda for our March 2012 trip. I wasn't sure about it, but I'm beginning to read more and more reviews about this place - almost all of them positive. I'm happy to hear you also had a good meal there. We're also doing Sci-Fi Dine-In - good to know that the burgers are still delish :)

My fiance and I ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern back in 09 and I loved it! I had the pot roast. He had the Turkey dinner. He didn't mind his but he tried mine and love it too!

We also at at the Sci-Fi Drive in. I loved the concept. I thought the shacks were a little too thick but they were tasty.

Glad you had a great time! I'm looking forward to trying LTT, and I'll def. get the pot roast when I go. The macadamia nut chicken sounds really good too.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe was a Table Service.
There is Wolfgang Puck Express that is Quick Service too. Here is a link to that menu:

At Captain Cooks we had waffles, Tonga Toast, the big breakfast, and the croissant sandwich for breakfasts. We also had a turkey sandwich and the pizza. I do not think they had mac and cheese for kids (it was just DH and I, no kids).

If you do Liberty Tree Tavern, be aware that before 3pm you order off the menu but after 4pm it is 'family style' and you get:

All you can eat Family Style - Tossed mixed Greens with Strawberry vinaigrette dressing Roasted Turkey Breast, Carved Beef and Pork Brisket with Mashed Potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb bread stuffing and Mac and cheese. Apple crisp with Ice cream - $3

Good to know, thanx!
