Our 2nd Trip to Disney! Did it Measure Up? (w/pics) **THE END**

:cheer2: Yes I am trying to watch and post at the same time.....Unfortunately, one of my boys are up and I have to scratch his back because he's itchy...I'll be back tomorrow!!!!!

Your trip report is great! I am getting caught up!

I was going to guess 17 hours for the flight to Australia. My nephew went there (Melbourne) on a mission for our church a few years ago. It was his first flight ever and he got so airsick!

We ate at Hoop de Doo on our last trip when we stayed at Ft. Wilderness. I think your boys, especially, will love it!

You have a beautiful family! Can't wait to read more!

Good morning C! Were visions of Disney plans dancing in your head last night? :earboy2:

You have a beautiful family! Can't wait to read more!

:welcome: and thanks! I'm glad you stopped by. (Darn! Now she might notice me stealing some of her ideas from HER trippie  ;))

Good morning C! Were visions of Disney plans dancing in your head last night? :earboy2:

No! That dang Patriots/Ravens game gave me an ulcer and the adrenalin was flowing too much when I went to bed! It was a major nailbiter. Did your dh watch it? He's a Redskins fan, right? But, some men like to watch Monday Night Football no matter who's playing. It was very exciting and I'm glad we won, but man, I was exhausted when it was over (close to midnight) and not because of how late it was!

But, now I have my Christmas music playing and I'm about to post a new thread so the visions are starting :)

ME(38) stay at home mom to three kids....but they're all the same age,6(Kindergarten)(triplets) 2 boys, one girl

Wow! You have your hands full! :goodvibes

(1st family WDW trip!!)

How exciting!! Your 1st trip!!! :cheer2:

I wish I had pictures of my kids on my PC to send, but I just got a new computer and haven't uploaded them yet...but I'll post some soon!

Can't wait to see some :thumbsup2

Take Monorail to Poly for &pm res at Ohana's, watch wishes from Poly beach(if kids aren't cranky...yeah I know, but maybe the magic will hit them!!)

You'll have a blast here! My favorites at 'Ohana were the veggies, the potatoes, the chicken wings and the steak (didn't care for most of the other meat). The dessert was yummy too but I wasn't feeling well that night and couldn't eat much :( The beach at the Poly is so wonderful! We didn't get to see Wishes from it, although I'd love to at some point. You'll have a wonderful time!

1/21 MK,rest....HDDR for 5pm

We miss you by one day! We're doing the 5 pm show the next night.

We'll be there that day too.

1/24 Pirate Cruise for boys 9:30-11;30

You'll have to let me know how this goes. I've thought about it, although older DS might be getting too old for it.

It sounds like you're taking it easy and not trying to squeeze too much in which is really important. You have take time to smell the roses :cloud9:

First off, it is SUPER chilly here today!! Wow. I opened the door to send the boys off to school and froze my toes off! And it's still windy, although not as windy as last night (which is my excuse for why my Pats barely won the game last night in Baltimore! ;)).

*Disclaimer* The following are all actual responses given by family members that have simply been embellished a tad ;)

Interviewer - "I asked Carissa's family to answer the following question:

Interviewer - "You really ARE impossible. How does your husband stand you? Ahem. Next."

Dh - "Ahhh...I believe that would be me. Which question did you want me to answer?"

Interviewer- "You can skip the last one. Don't want to put you on the spot and all."

Dh - "So, what am I most looking foward to? Hmmm...the ah...ah...Hoe-down."

DS5 - "So now it's my turn. I can't wait to go on rides and see Pluto."

Interviewer - "I like you kid. You keep things simple. :cool2: Now, is that everyone?"

DS5 - "No, my little 'bruver' is next!"

Interviewer - "bruver?" Oh...your little brother. Ok, little brother, get on with the show. What are YOU most looking forward to at Disney World, little guy?"

Up Next...Josie the Kitten - CHECK!

I can NOT stop drooling over that picture of Tom Brady  (just in case you don't know who he is, he's the quarterback for the Patriots and an AMAZING one at that) This picture is from the ad he did for Stetson. :cloud9:

After a week or so of calling every day to find out if they would be boarding pets during the week we'll be in Disney, I finally got an answer today! Yes, indeed, they can take Josie the Kitten during that week :thumbsup2 One thing I can cross off my list! It'll cost about $100 ($10 a day), but it's now set. I just have to make sure she's had her rabies and distemper vaccinations. I'll have to look at her adoption papers. We meant to take her to the vets right after we got her, but life is crazy, you know? She's been very healthy (never even had the yucky "intestinal" problems that sheltered cats usually have). I will probably bring her after the holidays.

Great TP so far. You will love Hoop dee doo.

Oops! This post should have come before the last.

:welcome: And thanks! I can't wait for Hoop Dee Doo :)

Dh is from Danville, PA. Ever heard of it? Most of his family is in Reading now and we go up to visit fairly often.

I admit it. I have trippie envy. There are some very talented people here at the Dis :cool2: . Some people are just born storytellers. I'm so envious of these trip report writers that can bring you along on their journey of planning a trip. Unlike me, they don't throw the entire story into your lap in a matter of two days! They drag out (in a good way!) the story and keep you wondering if the BIG trip is really going to be cancelled because Jimmy's teacher refuses to let him get out of his school work, even though in reality they've already TAKEN the trip (but you don't know this because you're reading from the beginning and not cheating).

I just don't have the patience. I'm the kind of person that loves to buy gifts for birthdays and Christmas, but can never wait for the actual day to give the presents. I want to do it RIGHT NOW!! Dh knows this about me and sometimes will humor me and LET me give him his gift early. Other times he likes to mess with me and TORTURE me by making me wait.

So, to those of you that do such a great job writing your trip planning story so that the rest of us can enjoy it, kudos to you! Just know that I'm reading your report GREEN with ENVY :thumbsup2 .

And if you're looking for a really creative and unique pre-trip report, check out mickiecake's "MISSION: Implausible". It's really good :)

On to other matters. I feel the need to comment on my plethora of postings in two short days. I know many of you are thinking that I must LIVE here at the Dis (or at least online) :surfweb: . Seriously. I know you do. It's ok. I'd think the same thing.

See (here comes my feeble excuse...you ready?)...a year ago I began taking classes online through the University of Phoenix. Any UOP Peeps out there? Wait. Let's step back a few paces and I'll give ya some history (I'll wake you when I'm done.)

I got married for the first time when I was 18 :bride:. Yup. You read that correctly. I was in a hurry to grow up and have a family. I didn't think college was for me. When I was 19, I did have some sense knocked into me and I began taking some classes at the local University (Go UMaine Lewiston/Auburn Campus!! Woohoo!). I did a semester of classes. Then we moved out of state and college took a back seat.

Fast forward a bit to when I was 23. First dh and I moved back to Maine and we decided to split up. I worked for a while and then met my current dh. We ended up moving in together and I was able to go to school full time (University of Maine Orono!! Go Black Bears!!). I did another year and a half of school before getting pregnant with DS7 and then we moved down to Maryland :drive:.

So, between being a mom and just life in general, school took a back seat yet again. Then, while we were in Australia, I tried taking a couple of classes online through Excelsior College, but didn't really like the format. We moved back to Maryland and I heard about University of Phoenix and I signed up. It was a very easy process and I've been taking classes pretty much non-stop since.

You still there? Time to wake up now. You awake? K.

I have to check into my classes regularly online. Some days I spend the majority of my day on the computer, writing my papers, researching, replying, etc. :teacher: You get the point. So, yes, I DO indeed live on the computer.

Here's the catch: I'm a HUGE procrastinator. H-U-G-E! I can always find something else to do online instead of school work. I like to say that I work well under pressure. At least, that's what I tell myself so that I can go "play" online instead of work ;)

The bad news is I have two final papers due this Sunday evening (by midnight Arizona time). The good news is that once those bad boys are completed, I'm off for 29 days. Twenty-nine glorious, stress-free, lazy, do-nothing days. Can you see how excited I am? :hyper: :dance3: Of course, now you're thinking, "Geesh! If she's posting THIS much and she's not "free", how much is she going to post during those 29 days?!" I promise I'll try not to get too carried away.

For anyone interested, after this break, I have one more class and then I'll have my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice (don't ask). Then I immediately start working towards my Bachelors in Human Services Management. The sad thing is I should have had my Associates Degree a year ago with all of the credit hours I have :hourglass :sad2:

Phew! More than you really wanted to know, eh? Can you tell that I don't get much adult conversation during the day?

Up Next...Bits and Pieces

The family interview was a riot!! :rotfl: :rotfl: Good job:thumbsup2

Ok, now I'm going off to fiill out your little survey...

And, I SEE YOU ON HERE!!! GET TO WORK ON YOUR PAPERS!!:hourglass

1. What is your favorite traditional animated Disney animated film? Peter Pan

2. What is your favorite Disney/Pixar film? Finding Nemo

3. What is your favorite Disney stop-motion animated film? (I really don't know what this is :confused3 ) Stop motion (or frame-by-frame) animation is a general term for an animation technique which makes a physically manipulated object appear to move. The object is moved by very small amounts between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Clay figures are often used in stop motion animations, known as claymation, for their ease of repositioning. So like, the Tim Burton movies would be that. I can't say I have a fav of those though.

4. What is your favorite Disney completely live action film? OOh, this is hard, sorry, I have to name more than one: The Parent Trap (the first one with Hayley Mills), Pollyanna, the Pirates trilogy, Narnia, & Snow Dogs.

How did I know that you would have info for us on that? ;) Actually, I saw other people's answers to that question on the board I stole it from and most people said Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. But, I don't really dig that movie and I couldn't think of any others like it.

Peter Pan, eh? Hmmmm....

Thanks! We also drove from Northeast Pa. very close to the Pa/De for the first time this year. Tom Brady is very HOT, but I can not like him anymore...:rolleyes1 because I am an EAGLES Fan.
