Holiday April 9th 2007-April 23rd
Tuesday 17th April
Today Epcot opened at 8am (EM Hours)
and Blizzard Beach opened at 9am (EM Hours)
We first decided to take a quick trip to Epcot before we went to BB being that it was opening early for Extra Magic.
We got up just before 7am and got ready, we put our swimming gear on under our clothes and packed some towels, suncream and hats. The last time we were at Disney we went to Typhoon Lagoon and brought one of those small plastic boxes you wear around your neck to keep small amounts of money in, keys and Disney passes, these are very useful for water parks. We made our way to Epcot, using the car, and arrived just after 8am. Today was going to be beautiful the sun was out, no clouds a great day for BB.
We made our way over to Test Track first, great ride. We then headed over to Soarin, however the line was already 40mins long!! and FP return was for 9.55-10.55 which was no good for us because we wanted to be at BB for just after 9am.
We hadnt had any breakfast so we got some Croissants, Cinnamon Rolls and a Danish from the Sunshine Season Cafe. We ate those then made our way out of Epcot, the park was just about to open for the other guests.
We made our way to Blizzard Beach and got our EM wrist bands, it had just gone 9am and it was really quiet, no need to rush for a sun bed.
This was our first visit to BB, but after reading the Dis and looking at the maps before we went I had already picked our spot for the morning and worked out what slides we were going on first.
We got a couple of beds at the Ski Patrol Training Camp, near the Iceberg Walk. Great spot for a little early morning sunshine.
We left our bags, we didnt bother with a locker, (DH had the plastic box around his neck )and went straight for Summit Plummet. Then again I never went down this one, no way, I went to the viewing bridge and watched DH and my 2 crazy girls go down, I couldnt believe they did it, they were so proud of them selves, they kept saying "I bet you thought we were going to chicken out when we got to the top didnt you". Hoped more like
After that we then went on to do Teamboat Springs, Toboggan Racers, Snow Stormers, Downhill Double Dipper and Runoff Rapids. All of them were such good fun we all really enjoyed them. After all that I was starting to get cold, it was all right whilst you were going down the slides, but when you had to get out and walk round to the next then wait in line for 5-10mins you got a bit cold, it was still quite early. DH and the girls went back on Summit Plummet and had a float around the lazy river, I went back to the sun bed to warm up and catch a few rays. After about half an hour they came back and the girls had a play in the Ski Patrol Training Camp whilst DH and I laid on the beds. We had done everything we wanted to do and it was starting to get busy so at 12pm we made a move. We stopped off in the Beach Haus and had a look around, I brought 2 Roxy T-Shirts and the girls had a WDW towel each.
We left BB and started to think about lunch, the girls wanted to go back to Sweet Tomatoes and DH and I like it so thats where we went.
We left their just after 2.30pm and went across the road to the Surf warehouse, where the girls got their Heelys from and had another look around I had 3 T-Shirts a pair of jeans and DH got some CROCS
The ladies remembered the girls and started chatting to them and was asking them how they were getting on with their Heelys.
We got back into the car and made our way back to Pop, had a shower and got changed. This evening we were going back to Epcot, Our last visit before going home.
We arrived back at Epcot at 5pm and decided to Leave A Legacy, we had 2 done one with a photo of the girls on and one with a photo of DH and I, so now we just HAVE to go back
Tonight we were doing The Seas with Nemo and Friends.
This was really sweet the girls really enjoyed it, they loved Turtle Talk With Crush, it was really amazing how they done it. They thought it was "Awsome Dude"
We had a look around all of the tanks and the girls had their photos taken in Bruce, the sharks mouth.
It was 6.30 when we came out so we went for an ice cream and got some Epcot Gardens Festival pins from the pin station. We sat and watched the fountains for a while then went for another go on Test Track.
We didnt want to do anything else in Epcot and didnt want to wait around for Illuminations so we decided to go to MGM Studios.
So what did we ride, Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller, I rode TOT but not RnR. They still get so excited when they go on RnR, how many times have they been on it, Ive lost count.
It was going to be our last chance to catch Fantasmic so we quickley went back to the car to get our jackets. When we got back their was standing room only but we decided to stay much to Ellie-Maes grumble because she said she wouldnt be able to see. We waited about 15mins then it started, we could see, we just couldnt see the water with the boats on, we had seen it before and had got it on video from last time, however we all enjoyed it and the girls didnt take their eyes off it. It really is an amazing show.
The only thing about Fastasmic is getting out afterwards, I had hold of Chloe and DH had hold of Ellie-Mae, we arranged to meet back at the car if we got split up, but we managed to keep each other in sight.
We left MGM after having another great but exhausting day and made our way back to Pop, we washed and refilled our mugs and got back to our room just after 10pm, we were all in bed not much after.
Tomorrow Our last Disney day
Animal Kingdom, MGM and Magic Kingdom.
