Holiday April 9th 2007-April 23rd

Monday 16th April

Today is a non park day, time to do some shopping.

We started today with an ADR at Cape May for 9am.
For those of you that dont know the Cape May cafe is at the Beach Club resort, and what a beautiful resort it is. The setting is a nautical New England style, very light clean and fresh looking.

We arrived just after 8.30am and checked in. We were seated just before 9am. They have paper tablecloths and crayons so the children can draw on them and write their names where their sitting.

The breakfast is a buffet style with again loads of choice, it really was a tasty breakfast with fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, hot selection with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes ect, they also had a great bakery selection with muffins, danish pastrys, tarts, cakes ect.
The character interaction was also great with Minnie, Chip 'n' Dale & Goofy

When Goofy arrived the girls were getting some more breakfast so he sat down in Ellie-Mae's chair and waited for them, it wasnt long before Ellie-Mae spotted him and told Chloe and they both come running back.

We got back to the car just before 11am and started heading for Festival Bay, we like to go here for the Ron Jon Surf Shop.
On the way we saw a Surf Warehouse opposite Sweet Tomatoes on I-Drive so we drove in.
As soon as we went in the girls spotted the Heelys, something that they knew they wanted to spend some of their money on, so that was it shoes were flying off as quick as they could. The lady came and helped them and sorted out what size they needed and helped them to find the colour they wanted, I left them to it and had a look round, I found a Roxy black hand bag half price, so that was mine.
The girls got their Heelys sorted and were having a go around the shop, a bit wobbly the ladys were giving them some help and advice, it was quite funny really. So they parted with their money and off we went, on to Festival Bay.
Ron Jons didnt really have much in this time, Chloe got a Surf Shack sign for her bedroom door and I got a magnet for the fridge and that was it.

Our next stop was Pointe Orlando on I-Drive, we drove past it the first time, we hadnt been here before. They were doing a lot of work here, there wasnt a lot of shops open so it was pretty quiet, we did have one good find though the Boardwalk Surf and Sports Shop, they had a sale on and had some really good stuff, I had a pair of shorts and DH found five tops he liked all at great prices. Chloe and Ellie-Mae were trying out their Heelys.

We left Point Orlando just after 1pm and went to Premium Outlets, we all really like this shopping centre, the girls liked it because the paths were really smooth and it wasnt that busy, great for Heelys.

I had printed a voucher off the computer before we left for a coupon booklet so we went and collected that first, we then looked and the map to see what shops we wanted to go to. I needed some sunglasses so we went to the Sunglass Hut, Ive never had a pair of Designer Sunglasses because I normally wear glasses but a few months ago I started to wear contact lenses so I treated myself to some Ray-Bans.
We continued with our shopping going into loads of the shops and parting with our money. We also stopped of for an Ice Cream.

It was just after 4.30pm and we started to feel tired and hungry so we called it a day and went to Sweet Tomatoes for tea.

Again we love it here with the girls, its relaxed and the girls dont have to choose of a menu, you just go up as many times as you want and get what you want for a set price.

We finished up and decided to go and play Disney Golf at Fantasia Gardens. When we arrived their was a bit of a wait so we had a while in the arcade and our Tee-Off time was 7.30pm.
This was the first time we had been here, it was great fun the girls really enjoyed it.

Them heelys look very cool, might have to get dd some, did they master them?
Sounds like a relaxing day :goodvibes

What a great day! :thumbsup2 More fab photos and food! ;) The Beach Club is a gorgeous resort, isn't it? :cloud9: DD and I stayed there in 2005 and we're staying at the Yacht Club this October...

A great day shopping ;) , were the Heely's expensive?, my DD's both want a pair and have done for the last 2 years :)

What a lovely day. I have heard lots of good things about Sweet Tomatoes.

Sara. :)

What a great day. How much were your ray-bans if you don't mind me asking? We love playing mini golf as well, it's a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone, sorry I've been a few days getting back to you, busy week.

Beth, it didnt take them long to master the Heelys, however Ellie-Mae, my youngest found it easier than Chloe.

Custard Tart, you lucky thing, it looks beautiful at the Yacht. I bet you carnt wait.

Chek, The Heelys Chloe had, the black and pink suede ones were $60, Ellie-Mae's were more expensive $90. The ones Ellie-Mae wanted, pink and white ones they didnt have in her size, she didnt like the black and pink ones
So she had the new style leather ones, they have wider wheels, come with spare laces (with glitter sewn in) and I must admit are a more stable shoe with more padding, hence the price tag.
But she was happy at it was her money :confused3

Donaldduck66, There were all different types of sunglasses with a rage of price tags. The Ray-Bans I had were $165. They did have some Ray-Bans for less but they didnt feel so nice  but as I said they also had some for $300 :scared1:

Natalie, the girls have had a lot of fun with their Heelys, however their not allowed in Morrisons or Sainsburys anymore with them on, they have notices on their windows saying Heely's are not allowed in their stores

Thanks again guys for your comments.

What a lovely day Sharon.

Great photos again.

We love Fantasia Golf.

Lovely day - we like Premium Outlets to. I am really hoping that Pointe Orlando is going to be vastly improved when they finally finish it. Every visit there so far we've been disappointed. I am excited to see what ti will be like when it's done.

A really fun shopping day. Glad the girls could get their heelys. I love the Premium Outlets and that ice cream they have there! We haven't tried Fantasia Gardens yet, but love mini-golf, so maybe we will check it out as it looks like fun.
