Holiday April 9th 2007-April 23rd
Monday 16th April
Today is a non park day, time to do some shopping.
We started today with an ADR at Cape May for 9am.
For those of you that dont know the Cape May cafe is at the Beach Club resort, and what a beautiful resort it is. The setting is a nautical New England style, very light clean and fresh looking.
We arrived just after 8.30am and checked in. We were seated just before 9am. They have paper tablecloths and crayons so the children can draw on them and write their names where their sitting.
The breakfast is a buffet style with again loads of choice, it really was a tasty breakfast with fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, hot selection with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes ect, they also had a great bakery selection with muffins, danish pastrys, tarts, cakes ect.
The character interaction was also great with Minnie, Chip 'n' Dale & Goofy
When Goofy arrived the girls were getting some more breakfast so he sat down in Ellie-Mae's chair and waited for them, it wasnt long before Ellie-Mae spotted him and told Chloe and they both come running back.
We finished our breakfast just after 10am and had a look around the resort it was so peaceful.
We got back to the car just before 11am and started heading for Festival Bay, we like to go here for the Ron Jon Surf Shop.
On the way we saw a Surf Warehouse opposite Sweet Tomatoes on I-Drive so we drove in.
As soon as we went in the girls spotted the Heelys, something that they knew they wanted to spend some of their money on, so that was it shoes were flying off as quick as they could. The lady came and helped them and sorted out what size they needed and helped them to find the colour they wanted, I left them to it and had a look round, I found a Roxy black hand bag half price, so that was mine.
The girls got their Heelys sorted and were having a go around the shop, a bit wobbly the ladys were giving them some help and advice, it was quite funny really. So they parted with their money and off we went, on to Festival Bay.
Ron Jons didnt really have much in this time, Chloe got a Surf Shack sign for her bedroom door and I got a magnet for the fridge and that was it.
Our next stop was Pointe Orlando on I-Drive, we drove past it the first time, we hadnt been here before. They were doing a lot of work here, there wasnt a lot of shops open so it was pretty quiet, we did have one good find though the Boardwalk Surf and Sports Shop, they had a sale on and had some really good stuff, I had a pair of shorts and DH found five tops he liked all at great prices. Chloe and Ellie-Mae were trying out their Heelys.
We left Point Orlando just after 1pm and went to Premium Outlets, we all really like this shopping centre, the girls liked it because the paths were really smooth and it wasnt that busy, great for Heelys.
I had printed a voucher off the computer before we left for a coupon booklet so we went and collected that first, we then looked and the map to see what shops we wanted to go to. I needed some sunglasses so we went to the Sunglass Hut, Ive never had a pair of Designer Sunglasses because I normally wear glasses but a few months ago I started to wear contact lenses so I treated myself to some Ray-Bans.
We continued with our shopping going into loads of the shops and parting with our money. We also stopped of for an Ice Cream.
It was just after 4.30pm and we started to feel tired and hungry so we called it a day and went to Sweet Tomatoes for tea.
Again we love it here with the girls, its relaxed and the girls dont have to choose of a menu, you just go up as many times as you want and get what you want for a set price.
We finished up and decided to go and play Disney Golf at Fantasia Gardens. When we arrived their was a bit of a wait so we had a while in the arcade and our Tee-Off time was 7.30pm.
This was the first time we had been here, it was great fun the girls really enjoyed it.
Only the girls and DH played I wrote the scores down, I carnt remember how long it took them but by the time they finished it was dark.
We made our way back to the car and back home to Pop.
Tonight again, we were all in bed for around 10pm.
Tomorrow Blizzard Beach,Epcot and MGM.
