Our 2nd Trip in 3 Years. This Time, She's In On It (Dec 2012) CP Narrator Update 9/13

Found this cool video about the potential lock-out. I don't know what side you're on but the video is super NHLPA-centric (I'm pro-hockey, leaning towards the players).

I cried. Thought you'd enjoy :)

That was an awesome video SAM. Thanks for sharing. And, YES... I still get goosebumps watching Bourque hoist the Cup. I still remember that game. Me and my buddies were at Disney ironically. They all wanted to head out to Pleasure Island. I sat on the edge of the bed and told them I'd catch up. Just as they were about to leave, the Avs scored and they changed their minds. When the Avs went up 3-0, 1 of my buddies said, "Ok, they'll win. We can go now." I replied "I'M NOT LEAVING TIL I SEE HIM LIFT THE CUP!!!!" The other acquiesced. :lmao:

Here's a link for you.

Been sitting on a stack of winning scratch tickets, for a while. Today I cashed them in, and parlayed them into Disney gift cards. That brings the total on my desk to $425 in Disney gift cards. More than enough to have BDLsgal and I upgrade to the deluxe dining plan. Which will come in handy.

We've been talking about upgrading recently and did some math. Since we have 6 TS spoken for between CP/dining combo, F!/dining combo and dinner at Le Cellier, that uses all our TS credits. This way, we have our special events and LC, and can still eat at our other ADR's without paying out of pocket.

PLUS... Those 2 snack credits per day will come in really handy in Karamel Kuche.

Hopefully this is true... But WDWinfo has posted an updated Candlelight Processional narrators list. And our TBA has turned into Blair Underwood. Personally, I like it. He seems like a dapper individual and I bet he can command a room.

Now I can get back to counting the days and 2nd guessing our ADR's.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......

Update:

It is true. On the official WDW MVMCP site, Blair Underwood is listed as the narrator for Dec 5-7th. :santa: :woohoo:

HERE is a brief look.

Now, the only things left to do, is pay off the trip in full and second guess 50-70% of my ADR's. I don't want to second guess them. I think it's some sort of law though.

At this time, 11 weeks from now, hopefully, we will be on our bus to EPCOT.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Just wanted to pop my head in and say that I'm going through hockey withdrawal pretty hard over here.

Figured you'd share my pain.

Haha, whoops, made a post here I meant to make somewhere else.

It's early, I'm tired. Cut me some slack. :D

I feel your pain. I'm going through the shakes myself. I will probably be sobbing openly tomorrow  night. There will be a gaping hockey rink sized hole where my heart should be.

Like the title says, we are just 8 weeks away. 8 weeks and 3hrs from now, we will begin boarding our plane. YAY! It's starting to get real people. Monday, we make the final payment and we are totally locked in.

That being said... It's time to share another story with you all. BDLsgal and I were watching the Wed. night comedies on ABC last night (which is our routine). When the 2nd Modern Family ended, BDLsgal didn't want to watch Nashville because she was DVR'ing it. So, after channel surfing a bit, I kept getting veto'd for my selections. News at 10... Nope. Baseball playoffs... Nope. Dave Chapelle stand-up... Nope. Then I go to the pay stations and Point Break was on. BDLsgal looked at me and says "Really? Last night I had such a nice dream about going to Disney. And NOW, you're gonna make me dream about bank robbing presidents?"

So, with that, I thought for a second. I went into my DVR and pulled up the Behind the Magic Christmas special. She gets comfy. Starts playing on her iPad. David Bromstad goes into his opening spiel. He's talking about the work behind the scenes. He gets to the point in the intro where he is comparing Summer Disney to Christmas Disney. "How Disney goes from this... (snaps finger to show the decorations and lit up Castle) To this..." And without any warning BDLsgal goes "FISHNETTING!!!", like an eager kid in a class who finally gets to answer a question.

I started laughing uncontrolably. There she was quiet, enjoying her game, listening to the special. Everything's mellow. Then "FISHNETTING!!!" From that point on, just about anything BDLsgal said had me in stitches for the rest of the night.

8 weeks to go.

Whooo hooooooo!!!!!

We are all paid off and the only thing left is the PP+ and the waiting.

On Thursday, we will be 7 weeks away from our departure day and 50 days from our check-in at the Port Orleans Riverside with the Royal Guest Rooms. I can't wait til we can get down there.

I'm a bit late to the party here but I caught up. My DD and I will be at POR in a Royal room the same time you are. We have been to WDW 5 times in December and love it! I think we were there at the same time you were last year, too.
Never stayed at POR before so it is reassuring to hear how much you enjoy it.
I, too, still refer to the park as MGM, always will. I think you will like Raglan Road, it is one of our must-dos along with the Rose and Crown. DD spent a semester in London so we like the reminder of that time (I went to visit her for the royal wedding).
I'm enjoying reading about your planning and can't wait to read your trip report when it is overe to compare our experiences. Maybe we will see you there.

Welcome aboard. The more the merrier I always say. And what could be merrier than Disney World at Christmas. BDLsgal LOVED watching the royal wedding on TV.

Make sure you take some time each day to walk along the river. Even when your feet are killing you, the scenery helps you forget your worries.

As for seeing us, just look for the couple wearing Bruins gear.

I got this link ( HERE ) from my Disney Destination email. It is incredible and I even caught my mouth being wide open.

3 weeks from today, I will start packing (much to BDLsgal's dismay. I'm sure she'd rather I be already packed). But I am really starting to get excited. Pictures of the MVMCP is being leaked out, reports from the party and resort decorations are coming out.

This is going to be incredible!

Now I know that this isn't a Disney property, but let's see if those among you, in your 30's, remember THIS .

If I don't get back here before next Thursday...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

...and have a safe Black Friday ;)

It took 10+ months, but I finally got answers and a back and forth with the parties that are coming down to Disney. :cool1: And the best part, was that they initiated it. I went through the proposed itineraries. Our ADR's. Which parks will will visit on which days. And go over back-up plans.

I got honest to God feed back about which characters they wanted to see. Which story tellers that they wanted to see at EPCOT. The rides that they want to go on (apperently, Carousel of Progress is a must do for BDLslil) and which ones certain people want to avoid.

I gave them rough estimates for wake up times and how late we will stay at the parks on which nights.

It was all I could've dreamed for... :thumbsup2

I do count my blessings, every day. For BDLsgal, BDLslil and Monkeegirl66 (BDLssil) being in my life. :littleangel:

Also, I just found out this morning, that my best friend, who is going to be down there the same time we are, has changed resorts. He'll be at the POR, the same time as we will. :cheer2:

75 hrs from now, we'll be at the airport waiting for our flight.
