Hi Jackie! Yes, we will use our developer points first for a 10 night stay at SSR because that is the only place at WDW that you can use them and then we will move to the AKL villas for the last 4 nights and still have points leftover to bank for next year too I wish you guys were going a little later in June so we could see one another, but our trip will be 6/21-7/5! BUMMER!

Well I'm coming late to your trip report but just read post #761 I think it was, opening MK!! Well all I can say is I was so HAPPY for you guys, and felt like an idiot all at the same time! As I read the event and looked at the pictures I absolutely cried like a BABY!! I think I need Disney counseling of some kind!! What a wonderful thing to have happen to you on your last day!! I'm going in December with my adult niece and her two daughters 11 and 9 who have never been to WDW, I'm so excited use your left over pixie dust and wish us some magical adventurers like the ones your family had this trip!

Thanks so much for sharing, I love reading about those magical moments in all forms!

WELCOME!!! Thanks for reading! Well if you could only read 1 post, that was certainly the one to read! Don't worry about crying. I cry EVERY trip to Disney on our first park morning it doesn't matter what park either,that music just gets me EVERY time! I hope you have LOTS of pixie dust on your trip too!

AS OF YESTERDAY WE ARE NOW PROUD DVC OWNERS AT THE ANIMAL KINGDOM VILLAS!!!

We are soooooo excited!!! So the dddisrunner crew will have many trips to share with all of you (if you still want to read about them) for many years to come!!!

Our first trip HOME will be in June of 2009!! We can't wait to share all of our planning with you!

I have in the past bought a pin each of the 2 times we've been, for that year, and a hallween party pin from last year because we did it. We were very blessed to win the lanyards and pins last year for YOAMD. I recently have bought some from ebay for my kids. Most of which I've put up to include in birthday or Christmas gifts. I bought some with the thoughts of them having them to trade on our next trip in March. But when I get them, they are so darn cute, I want to keep them all.
We know from last year the normal pin backs come off too easily and cause you to loose pins.
I bought some disney ornaments on clearance last year after Christmas and I'm planning on doing a Disney Tree this year. Soooo, I'm going to display my pins as ornaments on the tree. I had thought about getting the little cross stitch frames and put them on it, but I think I will just get some wide Christmas colored ribbons and cut them in short strips, v cut the ends and loop the other end to run gold tassle through to hang on tree. Then I can just put a pin on each strip of ribbon and that will be the ornament. That way we won't loose our treasured pins, I'll save them for the kids for later, either to just keep or to use as ornaments on their own trees some day. I too am trying to get a pin for the places I've stayed. It's funny I've been outbid on the pins for POP and All Star Movies, where I have stayed, and won the bid (very cheaply, I might add) for AKL, where we're booked for March.
