Our 1st trip as a family of three!----Update 11/3 Our Favorites/Trip Wrap-Up

Awww!! The 1st haircut!! LOVE it!! I had wanted to do this for Claire but we never got around to it. But Claire does not have nearly as much hair as Lily. She looks so cute sitting up in that big chair!! YAY for Woody & Jessie!! We saw them, too! I think that was the longest line we stood in to meet a character! And being directly in the sun was exhausting!! But it was all worth it when we got to the front of the line!! :goodvibes

I just found your trip report! You have such a cute family!!
My girls both had thier first haircuts at the barbershop, it is so much fun in there!! They do such a great job!!
Cant wait to read more!
Laura
ps..we are also from MA!!

You know, ever since my husband and I got married it's been my dream to get to take our 'future' baby to WDW. I love reading TRs like this so I can dream of getting to experience it one day too. I've noticed, however, that many of the things your precious little one has been experiencing are things my husband does on our trips too. Beating the AK drums, getting a haircut at the Main St Barbershop, what's next? :rotfl: Maybe I don't need to take a baby! I'm already doing it all! :rotfl::rotfl:

She did *great* for her first haircut! :goodvibes So cute! And I love the picture with your DD, Woody, and Jesse!

What a fun update! What a great experience for her first haircut! You'll always remember that day! The pictures with Woody and Jesse are so cute! Glad you were all having so much fun! :goodvibes

First of all, that picture with the two of you kissing her is adorable! :lovestruc

Wow, she did so great for her first haircut! DS says he's going to get his first haircut at WDW this fall, but he FREAKED out this morning when I was washing his hair and piled it all on his head to get soapy (you know, because he couldn't feel it on his neck anymore) and collapsed in tears screaming, "BUT I LOVE MY CURLS!!!" So...that might not happen. :rolleyes1 It seems like such a great experience though!

Cute pictures with Woody and Jessie! DS really wants to meet Woody, it's his disney dream. :rotfl: Your DD looks like she's having the best time with them, I love character interactions, and it seems like you had so many great ones!

Yes, Fall River..the home of "Lizzie Borden".....:scared1:...

Well, I guess you could call me a MA transplant because I didn't grow up here. So I don't really know who Lizzie Borden is.:confused3 I had to google her. Eek.

I love the picture of her leaving Woody and Jessie. She looks so happy!!! :goodvibes

Oh my goodness, she was so happy to see them. She kept asking to go see "Woody and what's her name?" Now she knows that's Jesse.

Well, maybe you can get it done in December! Oh my gosh, that line for Woody and Jesse at MK was totally the hottest one we stood in. I don't know how they could stand out there all day, even with breaks! They were so good with the kids!

Hi Laura, and thanks for reading along! I was so glad we got her first haircut there. It was such a great memory. :goodvibes Where in MA are you from? It's fun to see there are other DISers up north!

Oh my, I was totally cracking up when I read this! :rotfl: I have to admit, I used to get just as excited as my little girl seeing the characters at the parks and would totally run over kids in my hurry to get in line! I think Disney just brings out the little kid in us. At least you know that your DH will enjoy Disney with your little ones just as much as you will!

She did *great* for her first haircut! :goodvibes So cute! And I love the picture with your DD, Woody, and Jesse!

Thanks, Dawn! I think Woody and Jesse are so cute too!

Thank you! The PP photographer actually had us do that pose. I think we did another time on the trip, too.

That story of your son is too cute! At least you have a few months to work up his courage. If he'll go for it, I highly recommend it. Plus it was only $18, not bad for all the stuff you get too.

I hope he gets to meet Woody. We saw him out and about so many times. He's at MK and DHS. Plus he can probably dance with him at the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It Parade!

An update! :woohoo:

I just love those pics of you 3 in front of the MK. Especially the one of you guys kissing DD.

That is so great you captured her first haircut at the barber shop! She does look a little unsure at first. Looks like Michael was great with her. And she got Mickey Ears too?! How cute! :cutie:

Oh my word, those are the cutest pics of her meeting Woody and Jessie. I have a feeling we will be standing in lots of lines for characters. She looked so happy after her meet.

Great haircut pics! Don't they do such a wonderful job?! I love the pics with Woody and Jessie. It looks like she had a ton of fun with them. I love how all the characters get down to the kids level. It's so sweet.

...and can't wait for the rest. I know all children are gorgeous but your daughter is so gorgeous and cute! Too many people say not to take children until they are older but your pictures prove them all wrong!
Already wanted to take my daughter for her first hair cut when we go (she will be 2) and really want to now.
Can't wait to see what you all do next :thumbsup2
Lisa

Ahhh, the first haircut - what great pictures!
I think I want to get my hair cut there!!!

And that picture walking from Woody and Jesse was PRECIOUS!!!!:lovestruc

aw luvin your pics. You're little one is so cute

I wonder what goes through the minds of kids as they get a haircut. I mean, we're so used to them, but it must be such an interesting experience for someone who has never had it done before!

You should get one of those kissing pics with your lil man with you and FI! That would be so cute! The haircut was a fun experience. :goodvibes

I think you will be standing in a lot of lines as well. Well worth it, though.

Thanks! We definitely had a lot of fun with all of the characters this trip. That was literally about 80% of our pics!

Thanks so much! :goodvibes We have been lucky enough to bring her twice now and she has had a blast each time. I would be bringing her back again soon if we could afford it! Definitely try the haircut when you go if you think she'll sit for it. It's a great memory!

There's no reason why you can't get your haircut there. Like I said, an older man was getting his hair cut then. Then even sprinkled tons of mickey confetti on his head! It was so cute!

I don't know what she was thinking, but she sure looked nervous. I am just glad she didn't freak!

So wonderful that your DD got her first hair cut in WDW :goodvibes She looked nervous, but excited at the same time. What a wonderful experience for your family!!

After our meeting with Disney’s famous cowboy and cowgirl, Woody and Jesse, we tried to get back on track and look for the Railroad station. Of course, wandering around MK with a toddler means that you get sidetracked very easily. Sure enough, her little eagle eyes spotted a playground.

Since this little play area was in the shade, we were more than happy to stop for a break after standing in the hot sun waiting for Woody and Jesse.

Hi, can I take your order?
ry%3D400

After a few rounds down the slide, she was finally ready for her train ride. We hopped on the Walt Disney World Railroad and took a relaxing ride to the front of the park. I had forgotten how much I love riding the train. :goodvibes Our little munchkin actually put her head down on my lap and started to drift off to sleep, so we decided to leave the park for lunch. We hopped in the car and ended up at DTD.

We decided to grab lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express since we’ve had good experiences there in the past. Our little munchkin, of course, had macaroni and cheese and was happy as a clam.

ry%3D400

I thought that was a pretty good size dish for a kids meal! As you can tell from the last pic, it was still pretty warm out so we continued with our daily routine and headed back to Pop for our afternoon swim. Once again, we had a little surprise waiting for us on the bed. :woohoo:

ry%3D400

I love that everyday, our mousekeeper would move the little towel bunny around in the room.

Our little princess was happy now that she was fed and had gotten in a little nap. Plus, we were headed for a swim, so she was in a great mood!
ry%3D400

There’s the bunny!
ry%3D400

We swam around the Pop pool for a bit and before we knew it, we had to get ready for dinner. We had dinner ADRs for Ohana’s! We’re never disappointed in dinner there and we go there almost every trip. There was plenty of food for all of us and our munchkin was happy since there were noodles that she could devour. :thumbsup2 Our last dinner there, we were able to do the conga line, but this time around, we had the guy entertainer and he was starting the night off with a coconut race.

ry%3D400

She saw all the other kids doing the coconut race and wanted to give it a try. I think by the end, she gave up trying to roll the coconut and started sweeping the floors instead.

ry%3D400

It’s no surprise that she brought up the tail end of that race. All of that sweeping sure did work up an appetite. We were ready for dessert!

ry%3D400

The bananas foster bread pudding! Yum! My hubby dreams about this dessert so I had to act fast if I wanted to get my fair share. However, I had to make sure our little munchkin was all set with her dessert as well.

ry%3D400

Oh, was she excited to see that cupcake! :cloud9: I don’t know what made her happier, the cupcake or the mickey shaped sprinkles on top of the cupcake.

After dinner we walked around the lobby a bit, and I attempted to get a few photos of the waterdall. However, the pictures are a little dark, so pardon the quality.

I have been meaning to get over to your TR for so long....your DD is absolutely adorable, and I hope to get back this week when I have time to completely read everything.

However, when I saw the haircut post in your title, I just had to sneak a peak at the last update. OMG - she is too, too cute! Absolutely adorable! What a little treasure! And what a fantastic family photo in front of the train station!:goodvibes

I am looking forward to getting back soon and reading this report from start to finish!:)
