Our 1st trip as a family of three!----Update 11/3 Our Favorites/Trip Wrap-Up

Wow! It sure was hot out that day. I really hope we get some time to hang out in Toontown in Sept. I have a great Mickey's House sticker for my scrapbook, but no pictures of Madison in front of it.

My sister once got 999,999 points on Buzz too. There is one spot that will instantly give you that score, but it's pretty hard to get. I don't even remember where it is, but I think I read about it in a book.

Love the look on our DD's face while she's watching the parade. So cute!

I love your TR.
Wish we could go to WDW too. Our little daughter loves the Little Einsteins so much, but here in Europe, especially Germany, they are not that popular. Not even in Disneyland Paris. They are at the Playhouse Disney Show, but that's all.
She would love to meet her favourite character Leo. Nonsense. She would love to meet them ALL :rotfl:

I'm finally all caught up on your TR and loving it so far!

Your daughter is absolutely precious, and the pictures of her with the characters are just too adorable.

Your dinner at Ohana looks so good...I can't wait to eat here for the first time in August.

Looking forward to hearing more!

LOVE the pics of her helping Annie slide!! Too cute!! And we just love eating at CHH!! YUMMY!! Wow--104!! Ugh! That's hot!

104?! Wow!

Love the pics of her helping Annie on the slide. How adorable. Glad she was still able to have fun even in the heat!

Great visit to toontown, it's a shame that it will be closing soon.

I love the pictures of your DD teaching Annie how to use the slide. Cutest thing ever!

Your poor DH watching the parade. Some things just aren't fun for adults!

I can't believe you're surviving all this heat! 104? That is crazy hot.

Awesome towel animal. I've never gotten one yet. Maybe next trip!

Love the pic of her teaching her doll to use the slide! Too cute! :cutie:

:woohoo: for beating your DH at Buzz!

104?! :scared1: That is crazy and really makes me nervous for August!

I thought it was cute, too when I saw her putting Annie down the slide! I'm still bummed about not getting proof of the scores! We were totally unprepared for the heat! I don't think it was that hot when we went in August.

I love seeing kids fall for their plushies! It totally makes it worth the investment to see them get so much joy out of them.

Did DD have a problem with the heat? In all the pics, you guys look so hot, but she looks like she's enjoying every minute of it regardless!

Our little girl would sweat a lot when it got really hot, but she didn't seem to mind. It was more her parents! That's why we headed to the pool everyday.

104 that is crazy!! Your little one does look like she is tolerating the heat pretty well.

I said it was hot! We just tried to stay hydrated and take a lot of AC breaks.

104 - Yikes!

Your DD teaching Annie how to slide is so sweet, what a little cutie.

I'm laughing at your DHs expression while watching the parade, the things we do to make our little ones happy!

I actually didn't even realize he was making that facial expression until I was about to post it! It totally sums up how we were feeling about seeing the parade so many times when it was that hot out.

I hope you get to see Toontown too! I think it will still be there when you go.

I had no idea about that one spot on the wall at Buzz. It was such a surprise!

Great update and pictures! Wow, it was HOT!!!

Thanks! It was hot!

Aww, that's too bad that the Einstein's aren't over there. I think she was most excited about the chance to eat with Leo and June before the trip!

okay I'm in...gotta catch up now...

Hi Jordan! :wave2: thanks for coming over here! Hope it can be somewhat entertaining for you!

Thank you! Sigh, what I wouldn't give for a little all you can eat dinner at Ohana now.

Yeah, it was apparently unseasonably warm that week. Obviously, she didn't let the heat stop her!

Great visit to toontown, it's a shame that it will be closing soon.

We were surprised by how many towel creations we got. It was great! We visited Toontown everytime we went to MK, which was often!

After we had cooled down from the heat of the day, we headed out to the Yacht Club for our dinner ADR. We were eating at Captain’s Grille that night. We stayed at the Beach Club our last trip and we were excited that we would be back in that resort area again. We have never eaten at Captain’s Grille before and it was pretty good! The hubby got some sort of steak meal and I ordered the Captain’s Grille experience, which included an appetizer, an entrée and dessert. I ordered the lump crab cakes as my entrée.

I was happy as I love crab cakes! Soon we were off to DHS for evening EMH. It was the only night on our trip that DHS had them, so it as a must do for us. It was literally the ONLY thing I had told my husband that we HAD to do on the trip. It was all for our little girl so she could go to the Playhouse Disney dance party. She had blast dancing the night away last time and I wanted to take her again. Especially now that she didn’t seem to be afraid of the characters.

We stopped off for a family photo in front of the hat.

Then I had to get my corny shot of me “wearing” the hat.

ry%3D400

That took a few tries as I kept tilting my head in the wrong direction. Oops.

Then we took off for the Playhouse Disney building. You can hear the music pumping as soon as you get near the area. I do apologize in advance for the quality of the pics as we just had a point and shoot and it was a bit darker in there. Also, I don’t have nearly as many pics as I thought I would get because we were too busy taking videos. I just wanted to share this experience with you all as I know some of you are headed there soon, and with little ones of your own. It was a favorite night for us. :goodvibes Anyways back to the report.

We barely had time to park the stroller before our little girl was off and running. She was on her own mission to find Handy Manny. She kept talking about how she “forgot Handy Manny” so we had told her she would see him tonight. Of course, we weren’t positive that he was going to be there, but we had our fingers crossed. We walked into the building and guess who we saw right off the bat? Handy Manny!

ry%3D400

Do you see how she just took off after him? I have never seen her bouncing and jumping around so much in my life. She was in heaven. :cloud9: I’m sure I had the biggest grin on my face as well!

ry%3D400

You can just make out the top of her head there next to Manny. She was holding his hand as they danced in this pic. Like I said, I have more video than pics.

Most of my pics are centered around Handy Manny, but I think my favorite part of the night was one she ran up to Annie and showed her that she had a little Annie as well. It was beyond cute. There were so many characters there – it was FANTASTIC! :cutie: I have to say that our little girl was so excited that there was no holding her back. I had to keep running up to her to give the characters some room as she just kept running up to them and hugging them. Some of the characters that she grabbed on to were Annie, Quincy, Handy Manny, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse. Like I said, a fabulous experience!

Here she is lunging at Pluto.

Goofy asking her to dance.

Did I mention already that she was in heaven? :cloud9: She was dancing with her favorite characters and playing with the bubbles that would rain down from the ceiling. She also got her own little balloon animal. She picked a butterfly when it was her turn.

Here is a picture of her with the butterfly back in the room. I think it was taken the next morning. She was still so happy the next day.

How adorable was that!! I didn't know the characters interacted like that - I can't wait to take my grandson! He will have a blast

We are considering eating at Captain Grille's on one of our grown-up nights. Do you know if the platter you had would be on the Dining Plan? It looks SO good!

It looks like you had such a great night!! :woohoo:

Glad you enjoyed dinner at Capts Grille! Those crab cakes look good!

The party looks like a blast for the preschool set! Glad she had so much fun! Moments like that are why we all keep going back to WDW :goodvibes

You HAVE to take your grandson! When we went in August the characters only came out 2 at a time, but in May, we would see as many as 5 out there at a time. It is a fabulous chance to make such great memories with characters. They don't really do posed pics there, but will gladly dance with people, young and old! ;) And if your grandson is a bit shy, he can dance in the corner. She did that in August, she just danced to her heart's content off to the side.

The Captain's experience was included in the basic dining plan. I got a ceasar salad, the crab cakes and I forgot what I got for dessert.

We were a little nervous about dinner there since there had been mixed reviews, but we enjoyed it. Plus we love the YC and BC in general. The party is a blast for all who go, I think. I definitely saw my fair share of "big kids" dancing with the characters.

You are so right, Dawn. It is moments and memories like this that make us so anxious to go back!

What a fun night! I'm sure Madison would have loved the dance party when she was younger. It looks like your DD really had a blast. What a cute pic of her with her balloon and Annie.

How cute! What a fantastic experience for young kids, and their parents as well to see them having such a fabulous time :goodvibes

How cool!!! Do they have a dance party every night at Playhouse Disney?? I would love to take my kids! Your DD looked like she was in heaven :cloud9: I love crab cakes too---great choice!
