Our 1st trip as a family of three!----Update 11/3 Our Favorites/Trip Wrap-Up

Our original game plan for the evening was to go back to MK for the evening EMH, but we changed our minds at the last minute. We decided to go back to DTD instead and just walk around. Looking back on that decision, I think it was a good idea since we didn’t have to fight the crowds and we could just take our time and relax.

Of course, she wanted to go on the little train ride once we arrived.
ry%3D400

We have the exact same little train at one of the malls near us, and she is always just as excited to ride it. And she always picks the very front of the train to ride in.

ry%3D400

I love that all the kids kept waving to the parents as they passed us by.

ry%3D400

After her train ride, we headed over to the World of Disney. But first up, a quick photo op with Buzz Lightyear!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

And we can’t forget Mr. Potato Head!
ry%3D400

Another quick stop to say hi to Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
ry%3D400

Then a stop over to say hi to her little feathered friends.
ry%3D400

All of those photos were taken on our way over to the Merry-Go-Round.
ry%3D400

And our little munchkin typically wants to ride the carousel by sitting in the stationary bench. Once again, doesn’t look like she’ll be a little daredevil. I think she isn’t a fan of the up and down motion of the horses.

However, she had made a little friend in line, so when he asked her to go sit by him in the tea cup, she jumped at that chance.
ry%3D400

I kept telling her that the tea cup will spin around a bit to try to prepare her. I chatted a bit with the boy’s dad and he said he would try to slow the spinning down a bit, but you could tell that little boy was excited to spin it around and around.

ry%3D400

You can see that she is already getting a bit apprehensive about the tea cup. So, before the carousel started up, we were back on the bench.

ry%3D400

Much happier.

Wheeeeeeeee! :woohoo:
ry%3D400

After our fun little ride on the carousel, we were back to wandering around DTD. Of course, I had to stop off and get an ornament to commemorate our vacation.
ry%3D400

One last visit to the Hundred Acre Woods.
ry%3D400

It was starting to get late by that point in time, so we said good night to Cinderella….
ry%3D400

and headed back to the resort to sleep.

Up next: Braving the heat for more MK!

I have been meaning to get over to your TR for so long....your DD is absolutely adorable, and I hope to get back this week when I have time to completely read everything.

However, when I saw the haircut post in your title, I just had to sneak a peak at the last update. OMG - she is too, too cute! Absolutely adorable! What a little treasure! And what a fantastic family photo in front of the train station!:goodvibes

I am looking forward to getting back soon and reading this report from start to finish!:)

Hi! I'm glad you could make it over! I know it's hard to keep up with all the TRs. I have a bit of catch up reading to do myself later tonight.

Great update! As you know from reading my PTR, Madison has the Hula Girl shirt in brown! I didn't see it in green and it's so cute! I'm not worried about the dark color because it's our departure day. I adore your dress...where did you get it?

Isn't it amazing how happy kids are getting ready to go swimming. Madison can never put her bathing suit on fast enough. We're looking forward to lots of swimming time at Pop this year.

Ok, now I want to go to Ohana just for that bread pudding! We actually had our rehearsal dinner there 3 years ago before our Disney wedding, and this year we're going back to WDW for our 3 year anniversary, so I think that would be a great ADR to add. Thanks!! Oh, and I LOVE your dress!! Super cute!!

I love her little Hula girl shirt! So cute and totally in theme with Ohana :)

That bread pudding looks so good! I can't wait to have that again in August!

Dinner at Ohana, followed by shopping?! Sounds like a great night :)

Wow, I'm not normally a fan of bread pudding but that dessert looks amazing!

I think the Christmas shop in DTD is my favorite store in all of WDW :goodvibes

I have a feeling we'll be visiting that playground too. Is there much room to sit and watch them?

Aw, she looks so cute in that swimming suit! And she looks so proud of her towel bunny! :cutie:

That is such a cute "Hula girl" shirt for Ohana! I can't remember, do you know if they do the coconut race for breakfast there too? That's so cute she got a cupcake!

Love the intent look on DD's face as she tries to pick up some of that mac and cheese with her fork! So cute!

I got a little nervous when she switched over to the teacup! Good thing she requested a switch before the ride started!

I totally got the hula shirt after reading your post on madison's shirt, but funny enough, I didn't see the hula girl shirt in brown. I think I had her wear it again when we ate at Kona later in the trip.

Thanks, I think I got the dress a few years ago when I was at the outlet mall near me. I love it! You'll surely be doing lot's of swimming at the Pop soon!

I think they changed some of the food from 3 years ago at Ohana, but the bread pudding is still there! We couldn't do it this time around with a little toddler, but when it was just the two of us, we had a later ADR so we were able to see the water parade pass by the Poly from our seat an we had a fanastic view of the castle so we could have watched Wishes from there too! Oh, and thanks for the comment on the dress - I love that's so comfy too!

I tried to coordinate outfits with themes or with each other every once in a while. The dessert was yummy, and I'm not usually a fan of bread pudding. It was a good night!

I'm not usually a fan of bread pudding either, but I always enjoy it at Ohana. I love the Christmas shop too!

The edges of the playground had benches that parents could sit on and watch. Plus it was under a bridge or in a tunnel, so it was nice and cool. Be ready to visit all the play areas with your little man! ;)

I've never done Ohana for breakfast but I think they have different activities then too. I want to try it one day, though. We just weren't sure if she would be scared of Stitch this time around.

Thanks, the cupcake was a fun treat! The CMs are always so nice, oops, I mean cousins.

Oh, I was so nervous too when she hopped in. That little boy was a bundle of energy and you should have seen how fast he was spinning that cup later. She would have been scarred for life for sure! haha.

I'm a little late bute loving your TR! :thumbsup2

Your DD is soooo cute. Looks like we had some very similar photo op ideas too (not quite as clear though because I snapped them on my phone):

OMG, that's too funny! Those are almost the exact same pics! Love it! I guess all the kids have the same ideas too! How lucky that you are going back again so soon!

YAY for O'hana!! My favorite place to eat!! :lovestruc And that bread pudding--YUMMY!!!!

Yummy, I know! :yay:

Great update! The desert at Ohana looks delicious. I love the Poly, it's so beautiful. I have no real need to stay there, because I'm really cheap, but I need to walk around the building.

How cute your DD is in that little swimsuit!

Looks like a fun evening at DTD. Too funny about your DD and the carousel bench. I guess she won't be riding roller coasters any time soon!

Sounded like a full day!

hey! just found your TR now. We went around the same time and would love to join in! Alrighty, got a lot to catch up on...i'll be back!

Oh my! Your little princess is just adorable! Every single picture she is smiling and so excited to be there! And I love those interactions with the characters! So cute! Aww so sorry she injured her finger! But glad to hear she’s ok! Love all the PP pics! Super cute! Wow! You got really great pics from the safari! Yay for Tonga Toast! Isn’t it sooo yummy?! Awww her first haircut?! That’s awesome! Sooo adorable! And I love that they give them the Mickey Ears! Wow! You folks got really cute towel presentations! That’s awesome! Looking forward to the next update!

*keala*

It's so funny that any families with children have the same pit stops & photo ops. We could easily just cut & paste our children out of a pic and insert someone elses..:lmao:

We love walking around the Poly too and always end up having a ton of meals there. Especially this trip! If we can swing it financially, I would love to stay there one day.

DD is definitely not going to be riding any roller coasters in her near future!

Hi Keala and thanks for joining! We definitely got lucky with the towel creations. Just wait for the one in my next update, which is in the next post.

I know, right?! it's so true!

After a fun and relaxing night wandering around DTD, we woke up Monday morning and headed back to the MK. We grabbed a quick breakfast at the Pop food court to eat along the way. I think we just munched on a cinnamon raisin bagel and a chocolate croissant. Our little one was anxious to get back to the parks. Who could blame her?

The big attraction that day was to head back to Mickey’s Toontown to visit the cute little country houses again. We had to stop off for a photo in front of this sign. We figured it would be long gone by the time we come back since we don’t know when that will be.
ry%3D400

Soon, we were taking a peek in Minnie’s kitchen to see what she was baking.

ry%3D400

Of course, we had to take a peek in her fridge as well.

ry%3D400

We stopped off to see if she was hanging around outside, but no sign of her yellow high heels!

ry%3D400

Here she is asking me if she can go inside to meet Mickey….
ry%3D400

I was all set to bring her in when I saw the long, winding line inside. Ummmm, maybe we can check back later. I wasn’t too bummed since she got a chance to meet him at AK. And there was definitely no difficulty in distracting her away from Mickey’s tent since there was a playground nearby. Yup, we were heading back to the playground!

ry%3D400

However, this time, she spent less time running around and around the playground, and more time teaching Annie how to go down a slide.
ry%3D400

I about died, it was so cute! :cloud9: Once again, I was so happy that we got Annie for her. Looks like Annie is getting the hang of it!
ry%3D400

After the two gals had gotten their fix of the slides, we headed over to Tomorrowland. We had grabbed FP for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin on our way to Toontown, and it was about time for us to go for a ride! I was so bummed because this was the only pic I could grab of the scores at the end.
ry%3D400

and there is no way for you to tell that I had beaten him. I NEVER win. And by some freak occurrence, my score was 999,999! And I have no proof! I’ve never tried to take a picture of the scores before so I was totally unprepared for that. At least I have the memory of that. Plus, our little girl was having a blast just controlling the spinning of the car. I have to say, we both got a bit dizzy with all the spinning she was doing.

By this point, we were getting a bit hungry, so we decided on lunch at Columbia Harbor House. But wait, we got sidetracked once again. And what do you think caught our little munchkin’s attention?

ry%3D400

Yup, the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Parade. Once again.
ry%3D400

And like before, it was insanely hot in front of the castle. I didn’t get any photos of her dancing with the characters, we were too busy taking videos. Needless to say, she was having a ball with this parade.
ry%3D400

My husband? Not so much. See his expression in this photo?
ry%3D400

Pretty sure he was just thinking, “Why am I watching this again when I just want to get into some air conditioning?”

ry%3D400

After the parade, we grabbed some lunch and a snack of funnel cake. Yum! Then we decided, we were once again in desperate need of cooling off. And just in case you think I was exaggerating about how hot it was, here’s my proof!
ry%3D400

Bam! 104 degrees! I told you it was hot!

Back at Pop, we had our most extravagant towel creation waiting for us.
ry%3D400

Up next: It’s time for a dance party!

Love the pic of her teaching her doll to use the slide! Too cute! :cutie:

:woohoo: for beating your DH at Buzz!

104?! :scared1: That is crazy and really makes me nervous for August!

I love seeing kids fall for their plushies! It totally makes it worth the investment to see them get so much joy out of them.

Did DD have a problem with the heat? In all the pics, you guys look so hot, but she looks like she's enjoying every minute of it regardless!

104 that is crazy!! Your little one does look like she is tolerating the heat pretty well.

104 - Yikes!

Your DD teaching Annie how to slide is so sweet, what a little cutie.

I'm laughing at your DHs expression while watching the parade, the things we do to make our little ones happy!
