Made very excited about our trip in January. We had a trip booked for 6 nights in a BW view room and then added 2 nights in a savanna view room too . After seeing your pics and report , we are so glad we did !!!

Actually I agree. I appreciate the trip reports and especially the photos, as many times you can't get a real feel for the rooms from the sales center ones.

I know many will love AKV and for them I am pleased and excited. For us it is just not what we would want and the lack of the closet and storage space is a big part of it. But then we were not fans of AKL, so I did not expect that to change. I like a more walking accessible grounds.

It is all personal taste, as I am sure the rooms are top notch and luxury appointments, but while Liferbabe commented she liked the drape behind the bed, that is the one thing I disliked most. I really have this thing about spiders and providing them a place to live.

So no one will have to worry about us trying to book up AKV, we will happily be at OKW and SSR.

Thanks for the great pictures. I'll have to send a link to this thread to my friends who are joining me for a night at AKV in December. We are on a waitlist for a 2 bedroom but we do have a studio and a 1 bedroom both savannah view--at the request of their 3 year old "When can I stay there?" was her exact question. Her parents and I know we are staying there the night before our week at VWL but we are going to surprise their kids.
