I recommend the series for a summer watch fest for sure.Never watched it but during its run my kids did.
When coming back from an Alaska cruise that docked in Vancouver we stopped by Steveston, aka Storybrooke, for lunch on our way to Seattle.
Just an FYI, the Charmings (Snow/Prince Charming) and the Hermans (Cinderella/Prince Thomas) are friends in fairytale land and the real world. And how does Cinderealla feel about that?![]()

There's a reason for this in the series but it's technically a spoiler, so I'm debating to say it.Yeah, but Charming is Cindella's prince. Snow White's prince was unnamed, but is not Charming.

I highly recommend it.Never watched it. It was filmed in and around where I live, too.
I would recommend watching the first 10 episodes to see how you feel about the show if you are interested in giving it a chance. It's a little like Harry Potter meets Disney.Ah, okay. I thought they were just getting mixed up.
OUAT is not strictly based on Disney's take on the fairy tales. The names given in the series don't always align with the names from the animated movies. In this case, the Prince Charming moniker comes from the stock meaning of a handsome hero who engages on a quest to save a damsel in distress (not that I'd classify Snow in OUAT as a damsel in distress). He given the name by Snow when they first meet.Yeah, but Charming is Cindella's prince. Snow White's prince was unnamed, but is not Charming.

In the 80's there was a sitcom on ABC named The Charmings that was also based on Snow White.
I get what you're saying, OUAT is more like historical fiction as opposed to the documentary style accuracy of the original animated films.![]()
I couldn't make it through the first episode. Not interested in it at all. ( and wasn’t interested when it was on before) My summer show is going to be The Decameron, looks interesting
To be fair, the show finds it's roots around episode 6.I couldn't make it through the first episode.
