Other things to do...

We are heading down in a couple of weeks. I asked some questions before, byut no good answers sorry. What are the other MUST DO's in the Orlando area? I have Silver Springs down and of course the beach, but we have talked about the Holy Land Experience and Kennedy Space Center. Is there some gem that we shouldn't miss? Some out of the way treat.... A special eatery? Park(like ST Augustine and the Mill?) Help we leave soon and I want some direction LOL.

Sad to say, we haven't ventured very far from DisneyWorld as we are still trying to take in everything there.

We went to the Kennedy Space Center last year...it takes a big chunk of a day, but is pretty interesting if you like that kind of thing...sort of like going to a very spread-out science/history museum. Iffy for little kids...but mine (DH 9, DS 14, DD 16) weren't tooo bored

A really fun place to eat is Dixie Stampede. Have a great trip.

If you want to drive for a while, St. Augustine is awesome! We used to take a school trip there every year. It's not really close though. If you like history and visiting historical sites, then St. Augustine will not disappoint. I personally love it there!

Let me start by saying thanks for the info. Now to the important stuff. Tell your DH to be safe and my family will be prayuing for him. He is doing a great thing and you are also by being his wife. I believe they are doing a great thing over there, even though we do not hear it though the media. I have a guy from my fire department over there right now and he is telling me the inroads they are making and that the Iraqi people really want freedom. Thank you again for you sacrafice and it will not be forgotten by me. GOD BLESS you both and your children!!!!!!! Give him a big thank you from me.

Thank you for that! We get kind of tired of hearing bad things about Iraq; it's nice to here something positive! Have fun in Florida, it's my original home, so I know there is tons of things to do.
