I'm in the process of trying to work out our dining plans for our December trip since I can make my ADRs in one short month :cool1: and I'm trying to figure out where to eat dinner on our second Epcot night. We  LeCellier and will be eating there at least once. I was thinking about Coral Reef but I'm not totally convinced. I'm thinking that maybe we should go for another place in the World Showcase :scratchin

So, what would be your suggestion for another ADR for dinner in Epcot?

I've never done Coral Reef (will be doing it this upcoming trip in August) however, I would like to suggest Teppanyaki (in Japan) or Rose & Crown (United Kingdom) we've never had a bad experience at either one and if you make your ADR for R&C around 7:30PM, you may be lucky enough to sit outside and have a great view of illuminations.

Have fun!

Chefs de France would be my recommendation. It's an excellent restaurant, with wonderful food. They can even elevate a simple ham and cheese sandwich into "cuisine."

Coral Reef is excellent as well, and would be my second choice.

Third and fourth choice would be either Marrakesh or Biergarten. Both have great food, great atmosphere, and offer authentic live entertainment.

Rose and Crown is good too. We've been lucky enough to get a table with a view of Illuminations three times out of the eight times we've had dinner there and asked for a table on the terrace.

We enjoyed Rose and Crown. We also liked Garden Grill. We're in the minority but I didn't really like Marakesh. I like eastern food so I think I just must have ordered the wrong thing there. :)

People RAVE about Le Cellier as well but I've never been.

Happy eating!

Glad to hear you have a dinner planned at Le Cellier. Other Epcot spots we really enjoy: San Angel, Alfredo's Teppanyaki, and Chefs de France. We had ok, but not great meals at: Coral Reef, Beirgarten, and Rose & Crown.

Where are you from? We're from Maryland and have GREAT seafood places around here...so I'm leary of Coral Reef because I've been historically diappointed in seafood in Florida.

We're going to try Teppyanki this year (even though I know we have similar places at home). My goal is to try them all.

We've done the Italian place and it was just ok at best.

Good luck - I hope you enjoy it!

Our family loves Rose and Crown, we have been lucky to sit outside and watch the show a couple of times. Le Cellier is another of our favs. We also enjoy San Angel Inn, not so much for the OK food but the atmosphere is so much fun, as long as we remember to bring a little flashlite otherwise we can't read the menu....LOL

loved The Coral Reef! My family went in February and we all loved the Coral Reef and there were 16 of us. I am a very picky eater so I asked instead of couscous(what is that??)if I could get mashed potatoes with grilled chicken and it was heavenly. :thumbsup2

I would go to Biergarten or Marrakesh. At Marrakesh, if you are not too adventurous, get the shish kebab it is very good. We brought my BIL there and he is an extremely picky eater and he loved the beef shish kebab.

And as Bicker said couscous is pasta, it is really good.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think we might give Rose & Crown a try. Any suggestions on a good ADR time to try and get a seat outside for Illuminations? Can you request a terrace table when you make ADRs or just upon arrival?

Thanks :flower:

We have always reserved as close to 7:30 PM (for 9:00 PM Illuminations) as possible. As I mentioned, this seems to be the best time, as we were lucky enough to get a table on the terrace three times out of eight.

They will not accept a request for a table on the terrace in advance. (Sometimes, they wouldn't even accept a request for a table on the terrace on arrival... saying there were just too many people already waiting for a terrace table.)
