So, everyone has his/her Nook, Kindle, Sony E-reader or whatever kind you settled on. So, what's a good place to get books?

Beyond Amazon, B&N, where can you buy e-books? Can anyone suggest other outlets? I'm not really looking for free e-books, just alternatives to those stores.

Thanks.

omnilit.com
allromanceebooks.com
smashwords.com
diesel-ebooks.com
samhainpublishing.com (mostly erotica/romantica, but some other genres)
jasminejade.com (erotica/romantica)

Some of the above carry "mainstream" authors/titles, but others are more indie-published. I've found some real gems via small/indie ebook pubs!

I'm a romance reader so I've bought from quite a few of the above plus:

  • eharlequin.com - basically everything harlequin/silhouette publishes
  • newconceptspublishing.com - like samhain and jasminejade mostly romantica/erotica but some mystery/fantasy
  • mybookstoreandmore.com - sells samhain and a few other publishers of the same ilk
  • loose-id.com - again mostly romantica/erotica with some other fiction genres thrown in
  • amberquill.com - again mostly romantica/erotica but also carries some non-fiction books

Do note that - Jasmine Jade has two "publishers" that they own the rights to - Ellora's Cave (romantica/erotica) and Cerridwen Press. The Cerridwen Press stuff is more mainstream romance with handful of christian titles, some fantasy/sci-fi and a little bit of mystery and action/adventure
