I just had the brilliant idea of bringing the family to Canobie Lake, NH about July 5th. Does anyone have any experience with the crowd level seeing how it will be right after the 4th (obviously:happytv: ) of July?

Good question. We always have gone midweek in June or August with no trouble with crowds. I have no idea about July, though. Maybe you should call the park and ask what the anticipated crowd level will be like that day.

My High School job was at Canobie, it will be busy, but nothing like Disney during peak season ;)

Get there early...it's gets packed and unfortunately there is no fastpass. :)

Hello there, Summers tend to be very busy up this way for various reasons: campers, outdoors people, the mountains, etc... I would plan on getting there early in the morning so you can get a good parking space and hit many rides before it gets crowded. I hope you have fun!!

It will be busy. Get there early in the AM and wear your swimsuits underneath.

We went last week and after the kids left from field trips, it was empty.

We went last year on July 4th and it wasn't bad. I think our longest wait was 1/2 hour - 45 min for the log flume ride and the wooden roller coaster. The pool area was pretty crowded, but we didn't really want to swim so we were fine. We did lunch in the 50's style place behind the kiddy area and had no lines there and no problem getting a table. We did dinner at the sit down italian place by the water, and again, no problem.

I worked at Canobie for 4 years and Im shock you didnt think it was busy on July 4...It by far has the largest crowd of the year! The 5th wont be as busy as the 4th but from what I remember they have fireworks 3,4 and not on the 5th so that will be part of the reason. There is no more swimming pool located at canobie lake they took it out last season to build a larger entrance (castle as they call it, lol I know what a joke huh!:lmao: ) Like the past post suggested though lines will not be longer than 45 mins. Most will be 20-30. Also stay later in the night, the park usually has people waiting out front in the morning but towards the night it clears out. Any other questions ill be happy to answer!
