Just an FYI to any suburban Chicagoans out there. The Yorktown shopping center Disney store is closing, and today had 40% off everything including sale items. I got three larger snowglobes for about $10 each and a couple of other things at good prices as well. May be worth stopping by to stock up on birthday/valentines gifts.

Are you kidding? I can't believe I have to work tonight!!!! I wonder if I could call in to work and use that as an excuse?

I HAVE to get there but I won't be able to make it until Friday evening!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!

So no fun! That's the best Disney Store around!! Gues we'll have to make a trek over there to check it out...are the others staying open??!!

Our store in Plano, Texas is closing too. It is an older mall, there is another Disney store at a newer mall near-by in Frisco staying open, but it is still sad :(

:sad1: Ours is at the Galleria in Riverchase (Birmingham) Alabama. They told me it was a leasing issue....I'm not buying it though since so many are closing. Sad....

I was told the others in the area were staying open like Oak Brook and Woodfield. I'm bummed too since that is the easiest store for me to get to.
They had lots of stuff left over. It pretty much looked like a typical store inventory rather than one that was closing. I also love the cute characters in the store windows. They always made me smile, and the kids love them too. Oh well, now I have to truck up to Woodfield or freeze my tush off in Oak Brook to get my fix.

Oh, that's really sad. We used to live right by there, and DS would be at that Disney Store at least once a week. Whenever we're back in town, we normally get DS's hair cut just around the corner from the store, he gets to stop at the Disney Store, and then ride the train. He'll be so disappointed when we're there again and the "Mickey Store" is gone.

There is one in the Westfield Mall in Aurora. At least it's indoors, and probaby not as far as Woodfield, depending on where you live.

This one is right by me, but it is soooo tiny! They don't have much of anything. I loved the Yorktown one since it was much larger and carried a good variety of product. I go to Oakbrook and Woodfield often, so I can still frequent those, just sad the Yorktown one is closing :sad1:
