OT - Wii purchase

Is $269.99 a good price or the usual price? I know there have been Wii purchasers out there.

$269.00 seems to be the price around here (Nova Scotia). We bought one in Bangor last month & paid $249.00, not a big difference.

Thanks. It just seemed strange because Toys R Us was advertising it as a special, but all the other stores are selling it at the same price.

There is a version of the xbox 360 thats suppose to be cheaper than the Wii now. If your into that system.

When we bought our wii the going price seemed to be 279 and toys r us was 269. By the time we were done with some games, nunchuks, extra paddle, charger, etc.. we spent close to 500.

269 is the general price some stores are selling it at 279 but the actualy MSRP is 269.

that is pretty much the standard price. Keep in mind that it only comes with one controller.

A good place to get one (for Ontarians anyways) is at Shopper's Drugmart believe it or not. I bought mine there last Dec on a 20X points (optimum points)event and so I got over 50,000 points. On a "bonus" redemption week-end 40,000 points is worth $100 of free stuff (75,000 is worth $200) I used the points to buy wii games, controllers etc.
Incidentally today is a 20X event.....

I LOVE Shoppers!! I just got the Wii Fit there and used my points to pay for it. Cost me $20. And I am getting the kids the Wii there for Christmas too....using my points again. But you getting the 20x points is a great deal!

That seems like a fairly average price! I should start using my shoppers card more lol...just don't go there often enough KWIM?
