OT- Why Are All the Terrorist Leaders So Darned Fugly?

Today while watching the latest TV news "threat" by Al Queda's number 2 man in charge (first time I saw him), it struck me that all these different terrorist leaders are just sooooo ugly

Is there some kind of prerequisite that to be a terrorist leader you have to be really,really fugly, or do they look that way only to me because of their ugly actions?

I think they make themself look worse than they really do, IE: long scraggly beard, frown, scowling, tough guy facial expressions. That way they think they look more the "part"of a big, mean, toughguy. BUT after seeing how they found Sadam and the shape he was in we know they are all big scaredy cats.

Well, the media could also be using the least complimentary photo of these fanatics.

Or it could be cultural differences of beauty/looks.

The first pictures they were showing of "The Egyptian" were H-O-T. Do they have some new ugly ones? I mean, he was damn good looking, but maybe that didn't play well, so they had to find an ugly #2 guy.
