Anyone know where to buy apartment-size couches? We just got back from a bunch of furniture stores, but all the couches are too big for the room we have for it. Any suggestions (specifically in south-western Ontario)?

While the quality is not the greatest, IKEA tends to have good sized furniture for smaller spaces. If you are in Toronto there are some furniture stores that are more boutique (expensive) that also have smaller pieces. Check out the strip along King St E from about Church to Sherbourne. Lots of places there. I send my clients to that area all the time to find furniture for their condos.

Leons also has a section of furniture that is designed for smaller spaces. I looked there when I needed a sofa that would get into my basement. The space that the sofa would fit was bigger but the doorway was narrow. Good luck.

Seconding Leons for this. Only place we could find a decent couch that we could get into our basement.

Try the Sears catalog.. I was jut look at it this other day and they had quite a few smaller sized sofas

I second Ikea. My entire home office is Ikea since 2001 and it's been working well as my workplace. Never had a problem with any components. It's a decent presentable area when clients come to visit for meetings. Like it so much that we bought of bunch of other things for the kids this year.
