I just came home from a day visiting family and noticed several of my neighbors have taken down their decorations today!!! That seems sort of crazy to me. It is not even New Years yet. I usually take them down the week after NewYears. Anyone else?

We took our tree down today. The rest of the decorations are still up though.
We had to take my DD14 computer down in order to make room for the tree...she got an Ipod for Christmas and wanted to get things downloaded on it...so the tree came down and the computer back up.

Little Christmas (aka Orthodox Christmas). My SIL is Lithuanian, and that's when they celebrate Christmas, so I leave them up until then.

My birthday is mid-January - I look at that as the 'deadline', but they'll probably come down just after New Year's.

Jan 1.

Most everyone in the neighborhood has their's down by then

I need the space so they are coming down as soon as i have the time. Back when I was Miss Christmas... they came down New Years day.

I am with you. We take them down at the Epiphany...personally i would love to have them up and turn them on all year round! :rotfl: but sadly they eventually must leave...but I'm with you...IT'S NOT EVEN NEW YEARS!

The tree will come down Sunday, with 2 cats and a puppy I am surprised it lasted this long. The rest will com down next weekend.

We always figure the people with the trees on the curb now are snowbirds - the lucky ones who are on their way to Florida!

We'll be taking ours down the New Years Day (and the day after, and the day after that)....

We USUALLY put our tree and all decorations up around Thanksgiving and take them down on the nearest Sunday following New Year's Day, but this year....we had a hard time getting everything up and ready---and...five minutes after finally getting the tree up this year, it FELL and many of our 20+ year old ornaments broke into a million pieces...soooo, I feel like we have JUST gotten everything back up and decorated so because of this we'll probably keep everything up much longer than our enighbors would like (I am thinkign about taking all down mid-January!).

Have to add that surpriasingly this year, MANY, many people in our neighborhood have already stopped their outdoor lights! Gawrsh!!

Epiphany, we used to take it down on Jan 1 - but I like to leave it up since I don't get to enjoy it much before the holidays.

I put everything up last night, but we didn't do outside lights this year. For me, once Christmas Day is over, it's over, dead, gone, kaput, hasta la vista baby . . . you get the point. :goodvibes

Okay, I leave the tree up...but the Holiday Disboard skin is coming off today!

Edited to add: My new forum skin is Cruise Lines! 4.5 months until Fun On A Boat!

I am taking the tree down ASAP..... We have a small home and our humongous tree takes up to much space. By Christmas morning i am over it and ready to have the space back! :rotfl:

We did not do house decs this year...... we just got to busy!

I usually keep my mine until Epiphany. Though the outside lights stay on until Jan. 1. Of course, yesterday I came home from after Christmas day shopping and just wanted to put everything away. It was like the "spring" cleaning bug hit me hard.

I am a little bummed that it is all over. The only Disney decor in the house and it has to be put away. :sad2: :sad1:

Ours are coming down this weekend. A bit earlier than usual but we're off to WDW soon and we wanted them down before we leave.
