OT-What will be Your "Big Ticket Item" Christmas Gift this year??

My daughter(6) has been wanting the huge Disney Castle they sell at Disney for 2 years now. She saw it again this summer at World of Disney. When she went outside with her dad, I bought it for her. They shipped it home to us because I had no room in the van at all. Plus I didn't want her to find out. With my Disney Visa, I got 10% off plus the shipping was only $5.
We got that castle for my DD a couple years ago at Disney. She LOVES it still. Great choice.

I think we're going to get DD, now 7, a computer for her bedroom. (Well, perhaps her dad & I will get the NEW one & give her our old one. :thumbsup2 )

Thumbs up on the kitchen idea...mine played with theirs way past 4. What a great layout -- mine would have loved the counters -- great to play store & restaurant!

My oldest got her AG at 8...seemed the right age for me. My DD7 is dying for one because her sister has one, but I wouldn't go any younger than that. Bitty babies are better for those under 8, I think.

Our big ticket? That's tough...we're remodeling the kitchen and bathroom right now $$$ and we are going to Disney in January $$$ and the kids birthdays are Sept, Oct, and Jan...$$$ and DH is in the market for a new apple somputer $$$ BUT I love to do a great big ticket for Christmas...but DH will be minding the budget very closely this year! *sigh*

My Wishes...
Wii for the family
Bikes for all three kids
DD7 - American Girl
DD9 - ?
DS 5 - ?

We'll see what we can swing....I don't buy the kids much at all during the year, except for holidays and birthdays so I enjoy splurging and surprising them!

I wanted to get my 8 year old son the Wii this year. But when I told my husband that he looked at me like I was crazy. He already has the ps2, ps3, xbox, gamecube, the ds light and whatever the newest gameboy is (I dont remember which one) a 30" flat screen tv (in his room)with vhs and dvd. So now I am clueless. My husband mentioned a bow for hunting or a dirtbike for the big gift. Hmm mabie a better digital camera than his now. Since the one he has now is a real cheapy. I just really dont know with him. This is not a big gift but he wants a lava lamp. And anyone else that needs a small gift idea for this age is those glow in the dark stars that go on the ceiling. He has those and he thinks they are so cool. A big gift idea for this age is the razor electric gocart and the razor electric scooter. He has both of those and they get played with all the time. The problem is the nieghbor kids dont ever want to leave lol.

Hmm dd 3 is going to get a dual karaoke machine. She absolutly LOVES to sing. She already has a guitar. And has had it for a year now and plays with it everday. I also got her one of the really nice Cinderalla costumes from the Disney Store. She will be so excited to get that. Thats it for the big gifts. She will get tons of other stuff.

DD1 will not get to much. So far I got her The Little People Noahs Ark, the little People bus, the disney princess lounge chair (it was in the clearance section on the disney site), dolls and dora no spill bubbles.

The grandparents are getting us a 1 night stay at the kalahari. Which is an indoor waterpark. We have already done Great Wolf Lodge and Castaway Bay. So I cant wait to try this one. The kids have so much fun.

I would like a new fridge or some sort of lcd stand for under the plasma (he even gets a choice this year lol). I have the plasma hanging on the wall. But Now I need something to hide all the video equiptment. Something simialr to this

But our major gift is coming early this year. We are going to WDW for 8 days in November :dance3:

DD (6) will be getting a Hannah Montana Barbie with severeal of the accessories (stage, closet) She saw them and had a fit! She is also getting a new bike.

DS (2) is getting a little people garage set but that is as far as we have made it. He is really in to trucks.

We got our DS7 a Wii and a trampoline for his birthday this past May. Grand total...about $600. He never plays with either one and my DW is NOT happy about it. She says no more high-ticket items until he learns the value of money. He's obsessed with Pokemon right now so we'll probably get him the $50 Pokemon battle station and as many multipacks of characters as we can find. And trading cards of course. We won't spend more than $150.

For DS8months, I have no idea!

My 4 year olds first trip to WDW! And also a Wii. Yes, he's spoiled...he's the ONLY grandchild:love:
