OT: What jeans do you buy if your a "real" gal

I got Bandolinoblu jeans last night at Ross for $24.99. They also had Gloria Vanderbuilt, Levi's, and Lucky. A lot of them were priced below $20. My daughter found a pair of Hydraulic jeans for $11.99!

I tried that website someone mentioned, where you find the jeans that "should" work for you. The number 1 match for me was Lucky brand. I tried those on last night and they did not fit me at all! Way too low rise and tight in the thighs. The Bandolinoblu fit really well, no gap in the back waist at all. yay! lol

I also like the A.N.A. jeans from JC Penneys, but I like the Mixit from Penneys even better. I once had an elderly salesperson at another store make such a fuss over how well my Mix it jeans fit. She proceeded to ask me to turn around and show the other sales lady how well they fit. They have stretch and are very comfortable. I also like Fashion Bug too. Any of their brands in the misses department have a nice mid rise fit.

Once you go lower rise, you won't go back. I would try a pair on. They are more flattering and sit right over that little tummy area instead of drawing attention to it.
You must be a no excess stuff kinda gal. I'm a size 6 to 10 depending on the day, my mood, and how many times we've eaten out the past week and am 5 10. Low rise jeans are terrible looking and only look good on the very skinny with a small waist and no flab. Many a gal wears them, bragging about how great they make their butt look but they look like they have no waistline at all. Low rise jeans look terrible on the common gal, myself included , in the front, and for every baby you've had subtract 10 attractive points. I can't tell you how many women walk around with the belly hanging over the pants and think its hot...........

I feel particularly left out of the fashion industry right now..........flat butt, mommy belly, long waisted and long legged. Low rise, and even mid rise jeans slide off my flat butt then my 3 time c section belly flops out and over and a disaster is at hand.

My current motto is "if the zipper's length is less than an inch or two, then this is not something to be worn by you................."

Would love to more about the find the right jeans for you website............

My current favorites are levis i bought at Sams Club ........

I'm holding out until waistlines hit the waist again before making any major purchases...........

This one is for the ladies,

I've been trying to find some nice jeans for awhile. On the weekends If I take in a movie or dinner I like a nice pair of jeans that I can dress up or down. The problem is every thing in the mall is the "low rise" or ultra low rise. Now I'm a 40 some thing mom with real curves (size 10-12). I like to my jeans to cover my back side and at my age, low is not an adjective I want associated with my deirrer (sp?)

Help? :confused3

I'm usually a size 10 and full of curves. My absolute fave is Gap Long and Lean - only jeans I've been able to find that fit my curves well - you would think Gap Curvy would fit - but nope! The plus is I also have to go down a size in these for some reason!

I am now the proud owner of a pair of Not Your Daughters Jeans. They are everything that has been said about them. Lunch with my mom was wonderful the other day, and I tried on about a million pairs of jeans. I was VERY pleased with them. They were a little more than I usually spend, I paid $72 for them (gulp) and hubster was shocked when I told him, but he liked them. :thumbsup2 If I hadn't had the gift cards I probably wouldn't have done it, but jeans were all I really needed, so I gave it a shot and I'm so pleased. The other good news was I got them on sale at Macy's.

Awesome! Welcome to the NYDJ sisterhood!!! (My husband had the same reaction to my first pair - he *knows* how thrifty/cheap I am and when I told him the price - he gulped, too. But now...:love2: )

Thrilled to also learn that Macy's carries them - didn't know that.

Aren't they amazing? Half of your rear-end seems to disappear and the other half is, ahem, "lifted nicely" - and tummies go away! Wish I knew how they did that! But, maybe knowing how it's done would spoil the magic...

Enjoy!

Lands End at Sears has some nice fitting jeans. If you have a Macy's I found a nice pair of jeans from their Style and Co. Brand. Both are not cheap. I think between $40-$50 for both brands but they fit well.

So i'm probably not a "real" gal but I've got curves! I'm 5 with shoes on. I have one heck of a time finding jeans and dread jean shopping as much as bathing suit shopping.

Express is having a sale buy one pair get one 50% off. Plus if you sign up on their website they email you a 15% off coupon.

I bought 2 pair at Express the other day. Normally if I get jeans to cover my big ole butt and thighs the waist gaps. but i found the Eve and Mia collections to both fit. I got them in short so I don't need them hemmed either!

Well, I'm one of the last few ladies that will join this thread. I haven't read thru all of them but I did see a few other moms who wear Lane Bryant jeans. I'm 31yrs young and I'm 5'9 and a size 18, I love the new sizing system they have going on because now I'm a size 3 and I couldn't tell you the last time anything in my wardrobe said size 3 anything so it's like I'm getting the jeans I love and feeling great about being a size 3;) .

My mom just gave me a coupon for LB that starts on 8/18-8/26 where you save 25 on a purchase of 75, 50 on a 150 purchase and 75 on a purchase of 225. I know I'll be using it to get some things for the fall.

This weekend is friends and family at LB = 40% everything! I wear these jeans and clothes!

What size does Lane Bryant start at?

I think 14 but i could be wrong; I can't remember when I looked for anything under a size 20!:lmao: Anyway I got phone call from LB telling me it was friends and family today and Sat and evrythng is 40% off.

I just wondered, because I usually wear a 12. I didn't know if they started larger than that.
