For those of you who are interested in my storm watches, here is a slightly unusual one :-)

Tropical storm Helen

shouldn't this be on the UK community board. ;) :)

I was looking at this on the weather forcast last night. It was a nasty looking blob of weather just behind the weather man and despite it looking like it was coming our way and the recent excitement caused by 'The tail end of hurricane Gordon' no mention was made of it whatsoever. :confused3

Also popping this over onto the CB :)

Looking at that I can safely say I have no idea what that means at all..

How I got a C in GCSE geography I have no idea...

well we had Gordan the other day when the rest of you in England were out sun bathing
Most say didn't notice any different other then our usual storms ,but have had some really nice skys at night

Looks like it is hitting us at 2am Thursday

The way it works is that the black blobs are its positions on each day. The "H" in the middle stands for hurrican winds and the "S" means its slows down to tropical storm winds.
The tracking map on the first post is connected to the NOAA site so will update as and when they change it
