OT- Travel to Mexico with minor, not your own

" If the document is issued in Canada it must be notarized, legalized by the Mexican Consulate or Embassy in Canada, and translated into Spanish."

Wow -- this is going to put a damper on number of trips to Mexico.
I can understand the requirement for a notarized letter, but to get it translated into Spanish and then authorized at the consulate is going to be overlooked and missed by a lot of travelers.
