OT - but has anyone used the teething necklaces for their LO and did they work? DD17mths still has a LOT of teeth to go and I don't know how much more I can take!!:scared1: Really though - I know she is in a lot of pain because she is normally a wonderfully happy girl. So, when she screams for an hour straight I know something is up. I give her the tylenol/motrin, but wanted to know about the teething necklaces. Where did you get yours from?

I bought mine from the local cloth diaper store, but I believe they have them on Etsy. The lighter the amber, the better it is supposed to work. I would forget to put them on my son (now 13 months) and he would be a total fussball. Within ten minutes of putting it on, he was much calmer. So, that sold it for me. They are generally under $20, so I figured it was worth the try! We had no real issues with his front 8 teeth.

Now, he is getting his molars and it doesn't seem to be helping. He is drooling through a bib every 1-2 hours, refuses any sort of teether and most solid food, and just whines and cries all day. We are on day 4 of this and I am exhausted. My necklace is not as light amber as some of the other ones I have seen, so I may order another one.

I have one made by "teething bling" and it works well! When I wasn't wearing it he would always run around the house chewing it! Have you tried sophie the giraffe? That worked really well too! It's like a dog toy for babies :rotfl:

I got my 18mo daughter's amber necklace from Inspired by Finn - I like that it's knotted between each bead, so that if she were to break it, the whole necklace wouldn't fallen apart.

She's been wearing it since about 4 months old, and she went from drooling through multiple onsies a day, to never drooling at all. I didn't even notice that she was teething until I actually saw a tooth, and the only time I've had to give her any pain killers was when all 4 molars came in at the same time (and then when her eye teeth hadn't broken through). And I only gave her any tylenol/motrin at night - she was fine during the day.

I never used one with neither of my girls. I gave both of them a very cold carrot to gnaw on. They both loved it and seemed to do good.

I got our from hazelaid.com. I would stick to either that site or inspiredbyfinn.com as they are popular and reputable sellers. They lighter and cloudier the resin is, the more potent it is. I swear by ours.

Which one do you have/recommend?

The one we have is a honey colored, but as a PP said, the lighter and cloudier they are, the more potent it is.

Here's a picture of Annika with her necklace on.

This, we bought DS's from the same place, and he has also been wearing it since about 4 months. He has not had nearly as hard of a time as his siblings have. My 3 nephew's and niece also wear them.

I have one that DS has been wearing since he started getting teeth. I takes the edge off teething for him, he teeths HARD and is in so much pain, but the amber necklace really helps keep him calm and happier. I couldn't recommend them enough. I got mine from Inspired By Finn http://hyenacart.com/inspiredbyfinn/

I have one of the lightest colored ones for DS.

Thank you everyone! I did decide to go with Inspired by Finn. I found a co-op I could get it through for 40% off!! :cool1:

A childhood friend of mine used to give her daughter frozen organic snap peas to chew on. Seemed to work quite well when I was there visiting. Cold, tasty, edible.. of course that only works when you're in the kitchen and so's the baby but its worth trying perhaps.
