OT : Tampa Fl

My dh and I were thinking of taking a budget 2 night trip to Tampa at the beginning of December as we have credits to use up for SW. We have to go budget because our family is going on DCL in February. Does anyone know of a nice but budget hotel/motel to stay in and budget friendly things to do? TIA!!

We used priceline and snaged the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay for $35 before our cruise. Its over by the airport. We loved the hotel and the little board walk they had out by the bay. It was nice to walk around the grounds and relax in the morning.

Forgot to add, the aquarium was very nice and fun. We did that for the afternoon.

We purchased discount tickets across the driveway from the aquarium at the cruise terminal area. I think we paid $14 each.

Thank you for the link! Does anyone know if there are any 2 night (Fri/ Sat night or Sat/Sun) cruises out of Tampa?

Carnival and Royal Caribbean were the ships we saw there if that helps.

There's lots of science and natural museums out that way. There's also the historic airplane museum. They recently started doing ghost hunts at night as some of the planes have had paranormal activity going on around them. I know the overnight tours were a little pricey but the couple hr ones weren't too bad.
