We have more snow today that fell overnight and is still falling then we have had all winter. It is heavy, hard to shovel, and we just got our power on after being out for over 8 hours. Brrrr it was cold in the house. Gladly packing for our trip to Florida this week!
Any one else get hit by this snow storm?

We got it this week too. Just when we thought it was done we got another dump last night!

I'm not packing for a trip though...

Im sorry. What is this 'snow' that you speak of:lmao: We have not seen such a thing where I come from....I am jealous of your winter!!!! I want snow!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Believe me, we haven't seen much snow all winter, we got over 30 cm's last night and this morning! We had no power, the lines are all still really heavy. I will let you take it if you like!
Seeing as it says you are from Niagara Falls. We are staying on the Cdn side next Friday night, and flying out on Sat afternoon from the states side! We have eaten at all the places there that are popular. I really would like to find something that isn't over the top expensive and has good food! I like trying the Mom & Pop shops over all the chains. What better way to find out then from a local. Any suggestions? I will trade you snow for your suggestions!:rotfl2:

Not from Niagara Falls, but have you tried Zappi's? It's our favourite place in Niagara Falls ... reasonably priced, good food, and frequented by locals.

Enjoy your trip this week OP! :goodvibes

It snowed a bit here on Thursday, after an hour plus of freezing rain first. On the way home from school DS wanted to go sledding so badly. I just couldn't take him though. Daycare kids, DD's newspaper route and DS weekly beaver meeting. Plus a trip to the walk-in clinic for DD later that night.

Next day, snow was all melted again. Kids are so disappointed. I think they have only gone sledding 3 times this winter. Maybe 4? What a weird winter! On the other hand, I'm enjoying it. ;)

It was miserable here last night. High winds that blew a thick wet sleet in your face. Just horrible. We've had snow since December. Kids have had a few snow and freezing rain days off. Ready to ditch the boots and coats for flip flops and sunscreen.

Thanks so much, we plan on enjoying it! I run daycare out of my home as well and have mostly teachers for clients (living beside the public school helps) We have only been sleigh ridding once this year. The one other day we were to go was on a P.A. day with all my daycare kids and it rained. I have rather enjoyed the winter this year but we had more snow yesterday then we have had all year. I think the tally was at 32 plus cms. I feel trapped in my mountains of snow! I think it probably sent spring packing for an additional 2 to 3 weeks! Hopefully it is all gone after we get back on the 23rd.

No snow here in Mississauga! BTW Greenclan I think you have the longest drive to a airport for March Break! I have a hard time getting my family out the door for the 15 min drive to Pearson!

It is a long drive, we just make it part of the vacation now! This year we are only going to Niagara Falls, NY, not Buffalo! We could fly from Sudbury, ON, but it would be around $4000.00 compared to $900. To drive to Pearson, it would be 6 to 6.5 hours, only adding another hour to go to the states, if I am going to drive that far I will go the extra hour or so to save at least a $1000. It used to be wonderful when my brother lived in Niagara Falls, cause we could visit at the same time! It is having the weather co-operate on all ends!!! It is a long enough drive the weather can change so much along that stretch! To be honest if I didn't go to the states, we wouldn't have went 5 years in a row. My hubby would have stopped me at 1 trip flying from Toronto!:rotfl2:

I haven't tried that Zappi's, from the other posters comment, BUT I know many of my coworkers have and they really enjoy it. Great little Italian place for pizza and pasta. Decent prices (for Niagara Falls). Gotta love the Falls, as the put the prices up at all the restaurants and charge tourist tax just because they can:lmao: It's a joke. BUT this place is good.

All we have in the area right now, is CRAZY high winds. Has delays a ton a flights. My cousin just came back from Florida, and was delayed 32 hrs. Seems like they are starting to fly again BUT it was nuts:banana:

Have a wonderful trip:thumbsup2
Jenn
