I'm new to the world of smartphones and need some help choosing from the pros. I am a Verizon customer and looking at the Droid phones. I have also heard rumors of the iPhone coming to Verizon in January. What do you think should I wait for an iPhone? If you had to choose which would it be Droid or iPhone?

There have been rumors that the iPhone is coming to Verizon for 2+ years and it hasn't happened yet. So that's not really a viable choice, IMO, if you want a smart phone thru Verizon.

Just switched from an iPhone 3GS to a Droid Pro. Both good phones -- my brother has a droid X and he likes it. No complaints from either experience.

Bumping for more voters. It does seem like the iphone is coming to Verizon, even though I know that's been a rumor for a long time. They did just release the ipad for verizon so it would make sense that iphone is coming. I'm in the same boat -- I don't know if I want an iphone or a droid. :confused3

yes the Iphone is coming to Verizon

I am due for an upgrade and my current phone is on its last leg. Trying to hold off to see if Verizon does actually get the iphone in January because that is what I want. My husband has a Droid and he loves it.

No, Verizon is selling the iPad but it is not the "iPad for Verizon". The 3G iPad for AT&T uses AT&T's 3G network and has a SIM card to access it. Verizon is selling the same Wi-Fi iPad you buy without a contract at places like WalMart, etc. I believe Verizon is bundling it with their MiFi hotspot product so you can access internet anywhere, but not an iPad for Verizon ;)

I agree that all signs point to an iPhone for Verizon, but I'm holding out for now... too many disappointments on that boat in the past!

iPhone for Verizon has been speculated for years - we waited for years and finally gave up and this is from an Apple fan that has many Apple products ;)

We went with the HTC Incredible and we love them :thumbsup2

Great phones, tons of apps, and available on Verizon.

I've waited for Apple products before hearing the "it's coming soon" on all the rumor forums - but now I buy when I need it or want it rather than what's coming next because there is always something coming next :goodvibes

Actually, the iPad at Verizon Wireless has a Verizon logo on the back of it. So, there is some type of agreement between Apple and Verizon since the iPads were manufactured with that logo. Also the back of the iPad is black, unlike the silver back on the ones sold elsewhere.

iPhone, Droid and Windows Phone 7.

iPhone is nice.

Some Droids are nicer than others. Check Processor speed and operating system version. Dont get an old one.

Windows Phone 7 is nice but not out yet on Verizon.

True BUT many people believe that since the iPad is out for Verizon that the iPhone should be quick to follow...... Not realistic as the iPad is the same Wi-fi iPad sold anywhere (minus the logo, etc) and works on the Wi-fi same as any other product (laptops) etc.

Neither the iphone nor the iPad are set up to work on Verizon's network.

Rumors continue as always.....
