OT Sheraton Hauppauge, Long Island

Does anyone have any direct experience with this hotel? We may be staying there this summer and some of the reviews are pretty awful? Would love feedback from anyone who may know the hotel. Thanks!

Not sure exactly what you want to know I have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years. Usually twice a year for a weekend.

For us it's great. We go for my daughter's dance competition. It's a nice hotel and is clean. I would recommend that you ask for a room with windows facing outside. They have some inner rooms and they look out onto the courtyard. Nice if there's a wedding goin on but you can eat the waterfall and the people in the bar quite clearly. You won't hear the street or highway noise as much as the people in the bar. Esp if there is something going on at the hotel.

I worked there about 10 years ago. It's a nice enough place.

I know the rooms were clean but the kitchen (at least when I was working there) was gross and always stunk like sewage.


I remember the bartenders telling me to NEVER use the glassware or cutlery. He said you'd be better off using plastic cups and plastic cutlery because they never really clean anything --- just a quick rinse if that much.

Like I said, though, that was about 10 years ago. It's probably changed since then.

Thanks for the feedback. I just wanted some reassurance that this was not the decrepit, fleabag hotel that some were describing elsewhere.
