How much should my dd ask for her "like new" Leap pad plus backpack and 6 book sets?
She doesn't need it any more and likes the idea of selling it and saving the proceeds for her own spending money on our next holiday. (She doesn't know where we're going yet! :earsboy: heeheehee)
I've looked on ebay and seen prices as low as $35, but that seems very low to me?
Thanks for the help
:sunny:

It might be hard to sell it for more than these are going for on eBay. Many things like this are so available at yard sales that they are hard to sell for a lot.

I might be interested in it. I hadn't really considered one of these, but I think my youngest (who is learning disabled) would enjoy it. Now that yard sale season is kicking in here in the south, I'll have to keep my eyes open for one.

I might list them separately the leap pad and backpack as one auction and then the 6 book set as another. But I have done no research on this, it is just my first reaction. Look at the completed auctions and see if other lots sold for more if they were together (books and system) or sold separately.

We just sold two Leap Pad systems (without any books and/or cartridges) for $5 each at a garage sale and it was like pulling teeth to get that much. We had them priced at $10 each but they didn't sell and a lady offered $10 for both near the end of the 2 day sale. We would have donated them to Goodwill if they didn't sell, so my DD was happy with the $10. She has a Quantum Pad now (which is made by the same company and uses the same books as the Leap Pad) and put the $10 into her piggy bank. Definitely didn't get anywhere near what we paid for them and they were in perfect condition.

My sons Quantum books worked in my daughters Leap Pad.....just in case someone out their doesn't want to upgrade to the new 'holder' you may want to try your books in the old system.

We got the Quantum books too. I was glad they worked with the older Leap Pad. I've seen some go really cheap on Ebay for new ones.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the replies.
I didn't know about the Quantum books, if they work in the original leap pad system, maybe we should get some of those and sell of the leap pad books. Then she'd have something to do on the plane too!
Usually we give away all our stuff (toys, books, clothes, etc), but I just thought this would be a way dh could earn some money since she's only 7yrs. Every year before Christmas we get the kids to clear out as much stuff as possible to make room for the new and make some other kids happy. It is so hard to try explaining why Santa only comes to some houses and not all.:(
