OT - Rogers Home Monitoring vs Others

Does anyone have any experience with Rogers Home Monitoring? Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting to look into a monitoring/home security system? I know it seems to provide a lot more bells and whistles compared to regular home security monitoring, but I have not experienced any service before so looking for some help in understanding the pros and cons of each.
