OT-Ringling Bros circus Gold tour?

We've been to Ringling Bros many times, but the last time they came, it was a little disappointing (not as good a show- less substance to it and a significantly lamer preshow). I later found out it was the Gold (vs normal Blue or Red) tour. Someone local told me at that time the Gold was sort of the B string team playing to smaller venues.

I was all excited they're coming again then realized, it is the Gold Team. Has anyone been to this recently (it's the Boom a Ring one)? I'd be interested to hear what you thought of this current show. (Esp if you've been to other non-Gold performances.) Trying to decide if I want to lay out the $$ on tickets or not.
