OT: Reptilia & Other Toronto Attractions

We are planning a visit to see my family in Toronto this month, and I'm trying to create a plan for touring. DH is game for anything, and our 8 month old is easy to please. What I need some venues to keep the 3 year old enthralled!

Duncan LOVES museums, so we're going to hit the ROM. He's very anxious to see the dinos, bats, birds, rocks... it all appeals to the little guy.

A couple friends have suggested instead of doing the zoo again this year, to perhaps try Reptilia. Anyone been there, positive/negatives?

Suggestions for other places that might better appeal? Any suggestions on getting discounted admissions? It's going to be 2 adults, 1 senior, and the 2 kidlets.

I used to work for Reptilia. It's a great little place. However, it is very little. Not a whole day thing.

There is a Chuck E. Cheese near Reptilia, so you can visit the reptiles in the morning and Chuck E. Cheese for lunch!

We took DD to Reptilia this March Break and I was "REALLY" disappointed on how small it really was. And the variety of reptiles was not very good. We were there for about an hour and that was stretching it. I would skip it if I were you!

Have you thought of a baseball game? If the Blue Jays are in town where you are visiting then try to head to a game on a Saturday. It is Junior Jays Saturdays and they have all kinds of stuff for the kids. At the end of the game they even let them run the bases.

I have seasons tickets and can help you arrange seats if you like. Just PM me if that is of interest. My three year old had a blast last year running the bases.

There is the Science Centre, Canada's Wonderland if you like rides, Centreville on Centre Island which is great, the CN Tower, and Ontario Place.

I've never been to Reptilia. To be honest, I've never even heard of it.

Thanks to everyone for chiming in on Reptilia. We spent a ton of time with Duncan last night going over websites, and we've decided on Toronto Zoo (weather dependent), Wonderland (weather dependent), and the ROM. He's also still begging to eat at Rainforest Cafe, so that's a possibility too.

Ah, it's been forever since I've seen the Jays. Used to spend a lot of time at the games when I was growing up. Sadly, this trip we're headed down on a Sunday, and coming home on the Saturday night. I would have taken you up on the offer, but the Saturday is my Mom's birthday; so we've got a big family picnic planned.
