OT: Questions for anyone who has been to Sesame Place

The Hilton Homewood Suites in Lansdale, PA has availability, although it is a suite with 2 double beds, which DH and I are not crazy about. However, there is a full size sleeper sofa in the livingroom, which the kids could sleep on, and if we really feel it is necessary and feeling too crowded, DH and I could use both double beds to sleep. We really love the Homewood Suites. Anyone know the Lansdale area and how good it is?

We went to Sesame about 4 or 5 times. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Trevose Pa. It was fine for our needs. The only negative I had was the pool. It was so crowded with lil' ones the water was mirky! I wouldn't put my body in that toilet bowl!!!!

We also stayed in a holiday inn in bensalem...yuck!

We stayed at a hotel across the street from Sesame. Maybe a hilton garden inn...I really don't remember...it was clean and new at the time.

If Philly is on your to-do list, then you may just want to hotwire.com something right in Philly. Lil' ones love the Please touch museum there.

Sesame is a lot of fun!!! My kids were big into the characters, so watching their faces light up was priceless. Good memories!!! At 7 and 9, they are much too old for it...just ask them!

Lansdale and Plymouth Meeting are out of the way. I'm not super familiar with Mt. Laurel though. You should take a look at a map of the area (like google or mapquest) and try to stay along the Rt 1/I-95 corridor.

I have a quick question about Sesame Place- we were thinking about going on Labor Day weekend, but I know weekends are generally crazy. Am I right in thinking that LD weekend would be crazy, too? Or would the crowds have cleared out a little bit?
Has anyone been there at that time?

Ramada in Levittown. We stayed there a couple of summers back. It was nothing fancy, but very clean and it has a pool and FREE continental breakfast in the morning. We LOVE SP!
This Ramada was just 15 minutes to SP

Hello! We live in Levittown, and I used to work at Sesame Place - still love it. It is great for little ones. I suggest NOT staying in any of the Bristol area hotels, they can be hit or miss as a PP suggested. The hotels immediately near the park fill up quick and have higher rates during the summer, but the Sheraton, Holiday Inn Express, and Red Roof Inn are pretty ok. There is another hotel that is a few minutes further away in Yardley, I am not sure of the name of it - maybe a Hampton Inn? But it is right of off I-95, and easily accessible to Sesame and Philly.

I have found people either love Sesame or hate it, I hope you are one of the ones who loves it! :-)

I stick to my thoughts of avoiding any weekend if at all possible...waaaay to crowded! Most of the weekend crowds come in buses from NYC and Philly. It is too crowded to enjoy any bit of it and after a long day, I have heard and seen things that no young child should see at SP.
