OT- Purchase from NORDSTROM?

Just wondering if anybody has any experience shopping online with Nordstrom? I need an evening gown and they have an amazing selection. There is no shopping here in Labrador and Sears.ca is very limited. They told me $35 us for shipping + fees? taxes and duty. I have only purchased from Hollister where everything is included in the shipping. It is the "fees" that have me a bit worried, not sure what that means. Any help would be great. Thanks.

They are probably talking about customs fees..usually they have a chart to let them know how much to pre-charge you for the "duty" which is really just tax. On a positive note, Nordtrums is a great company, my cousin who lived in DC and now Las Vegas has always sworn by them...they are a high end retailer and sell quality merchandise...good luck, and have fun wearing your gown!!!

Nordstrom's has outstanding customer service, actually called a store in the states & ordered some boots from them and it was easy as could be. you can search for the store closest to you & ask directly if you want.

Thank you both your feedback is very positive, quality and customer service can go a long way. My friend is going to purchase a gown as well and share the shipping and customs fees which will help. I went down to Customs office yesterday and was told the "Tax" would be 13%, "customs fee" 17% + a broker fee by the carrier of $8.00 - $40.00, depends on the company used, finally the shipping fee from Nordstrum of $35.00. It seems high but between two a bit better. I always enjoy the chance to dress up and spend an evening with DH and no children for a couple of hours.
