OT: Praying for those Dis and non Dis in New Orleans

Living in Florida..I know how this time is and how stressful it can be...Know that our prayers are with you as you start preparing for what looks like the 3rd ever Cat. 5 hurricane ever to make U.S. landfall...

Our agency has been called for relief counseling...sigh...Lat summer Punta Gorda (I know I miss spelled) and this I may be in New Orleans!!

This is all so sad and our family is sending out prayers to those friends and families who will be affected. We hope everyone has prepared the best they can, and has moved to safe ground.

Did you all see the footage they have of the Super Dome in New Orleans? They are expecting 12,000 to be taking refuge here! WOW!

We're praying for all of those in the path of the storm as well as those of us that will get the outer bands. Snuggie, we are due for some heavy duty rain....better get a boat ready, girlie!

My daughter got a call from her best friend who lives just outside New Orleans this morning saying they were heading north. She was with us in Disneyland last week (where they both signed up for VMK) and then up here. Just sent her home on Wed. Prayers to all of them in N'arlins

Yes, best wishes and prayers. Been through Charley, Frances and Jean and they were bad, but this is Cat 5, can't be compared.
