I am wondering if anyone elses kids like nick jr better....Playhouse disney has seem to have got boring for my boys and they would rather watch Diego and Dora. :sad2:

My DS are 5 & 2 the Disney shows that they like are the Toon Disney but some of them are not age appropiate for them. They are both hyper and some of the shows are to much for them.

We are HUGE disney fans here but I just get bored with the same Wiggles and Doodlebops everyday....Anyone else?

Now I LOVE JoJo but my 5 year old has decided it is to baby for him. :teacher: my 2 year old loves it....

My 8 year old watches more toon disney than anything, but I have to be careful because I really don't like several of the shows. We don't do stuff about withces and I hate Brace face and some of the others.

My 4 year old really loves Little Einsteins now. Of course that is the one show that doesn't play 35 times a day.

I help out at an in home daycare and we have about 8 kids before the after school kids get there. The morning kids range in age from 4mo-5yrs old. When we let them watch tv, (usually while the owner, and I are making lunch) they ask to watch Disney. They like Nick Jr too, but if they get the choice, Disney wins hands down all the time. Their fave on Disney is Little Einsteins.

I guess I am mourning my kids are out growing playhouse Disney :sad2: :sad2: But as long they turn into Disney nuts like me :teeth: :teeth: and don't grow out of it I will be happy :thumbsup2

I am surprised with some of the toon Disney shows. Not very Disney friendly...it used to be if it was on Disney I trusted it was ok. But now I have to check out all the Toon shows first. I agree with brace face, so far my kids are not into the witch show, they like the Power Rangers which I just recently let them start watching.

I love Bear but I am not so into the morning with bear. and Playhouse Disney is one of my faves in MGM. If they would only update their shows on the Disney channel.

My DS will be three in July and we still watch Playhouse Disney here. Actually, it's all I put on, so he doesn't really know about the other cartoons other than seeing them at daycare once in a while. DS is still a huge wiggles fan, but since our December trip he's really into watching disney movies since he saw all of the characters! :thumbsup2

I watch my 4 year old DGD, and I let her watch Playhouse DIsney in the morning. When she wants Blue Clues or Dora, we switch to Nick Jr. She gets bored sometimes, but she really likes the noise in the background more thatn the show itself. It is tough to find a channel that you can walk away from and not worry what is going on while your back is turned.

He Pa puts on the old Looney Tunes on for her when he is home, but she cannot watch them with me. Guess who she thinks is more fun.... :confused3

We love Playhouse Disney. My DD is 15 months and she loves JoJo. And she can pat along with the Little Einsteins. I really think LE is a great show. It introduces classical music and art to children. Doodlebops are a little annoying, but the music is nice for kids to dance to. I read somewhere they will be adding a Mickey Mouse show to PHD. I can't wait for that. :mickeyjum

I love Disney!!! I also make lunch when my daycare kids watch tv. They would rather watch:
Dora, Diego, Blue's Clues and Little Bear

:grouphug:

My DD seems to be getting a bit bored with PHD. She loves Higglytown Heroes, other than that she wants Noggin on. She is getting obsessed with 'Miffy'. Anyone else seen it? One thing I really like about Noggin is that there is no commercials at all.

when we 1st went in 2003 my dd2 loved bear so it was great! but now shes 5 and my dd18months doesnt really like tv she will watch a little. anything with music she will watch for a couple min. I think she will like this because its live with all the other kids. now dd5 likes dora ,teen titans, spongebob

I HATE those doodle bugs...they are so annoying and the Higglytown things drive me nuts too. ...My kids watch some NICK JR. (especially Dora and Diego) Occasionally they will watch something on Disney but I agree that some of the shows are either too dumb/babyish or inappropriate. Even cartoon channel is very iffy for us...They still like Zoboomafoo (on PBS), Reading Rainbow, and just about anything (if not everything) on Animal Planet and also some of the kids shows on Discovery channel (my dd 7 is a huge mummy fan and just discovered that Tutenstien is on our regular discovery channel on the weekends-we only have basic cable). My dd7 does like to watch some of the DISNEY CHANNEL movies with her older sister and since I have watched most of them at least once and don't have a problem with most of them (although how many more times can they show Eddies Million Dollar Cookoff? ) I would rather she watch those than some of the cartoons/shows geared toward younger kids. Is it me, or is TV in general just a bunch of junk anymore??? there is hardy anything on any given day that I "have" to watch. (except for the travel channel shows that deal with WDW resort.. :goodvibes and we are also getting addicted to Iron Chef.. :goodvibes )

We love Playhouse Disney here -- DD2 and DD6. DD2 especially loves the wiggles and jojo. I wish Bear was on more. We tape the 6am weekend ones and then watch them later. We also do Nick Jr, but I get tired of all of the commerials. DD6 loves house of mouse on toon disney.

My DS2 doesn't watch much PHD at all. He used to watch JoJo, Higglytown, etc. No Wiggles--my DH can't stand them! But now he's just a Thomas the Tank Engine FANATIC! I mean FANATIC! Everything is "T-T" (what he calls Thomas). He watches A LOT of Thomas and we have Directv which has a channel called PBS Sprout. All the shows are geared towards toddlers and preschoolers. They are mostly brokedown into 10-15 minute segments of each so they don't get bored I guess. They show everything from Thomas & Friends, Bearenstein Bears, Kipper, Dragon Tales, Barney, you name it. They are all shows I don't have to worry about him watching. In fact, he's watching it now as I type on the laptop here.

He does love Bear though. We have a "Potty Time w/Bear" video and he loves to watch it. He really enjoys Diego too, just doesn't get to watch him much. My DH and I watch Diego and we can't get it out of our heads. We keep singing..."...to the rescue!..." Everybody sing along!

My DS is all about Noggin now. Actually we're on a TV break because he was always asking to watch Noggin or the Nick Jr. shows on Nickelodeon and could watch for hours at a time. He does like the Playhouse Disney shows though, especially Little Einsteins. I understand the Little Einsteins are at MGM now and JoJo and Goliath. I know he's going to freak when he sees them.
