I wish they would build a DVC resort at Disneyland Paris, I would buy points there for sure. I want to stay in the new DVC Tree house Villas once they are built next year at WDW. How cool, staying in a deluxe tree house complete with hot tub!!

I love saying that I have never paid to stay at WDW! But it is kind of true! Our best friends use their DVC points so we stay in a 2 bedroomed villa at a deluxe hotel and we pay for their flights. It's a great compromise! My best friends used their points to pay for us to stay at the Grand Californian at Disneyland in the summer, so I didn't pay to stay at Disneyland either. And yes I do have the best friends ever, and no they can't be your best friends!!!!

How did you know what my next questions would be?:rotfl:

What is DVC, please? Again, I realise I am completely clueless...

Goodnight all, have to be in work for half 7 tomorrow morning to get some paperwork/printing done.
Have a lovely day tomorrow everyone and I'll hopefully be online tomorrow night either before or after swimming.

I'm off too, been fun chatting will be back tomorrow I think nigh night :cloud9:

:confused3 I'm confused. How can you book years in advance? Is that only with Disney direct? You can tell I'm clueless!

Thats booking with Disney direct, room only. You can add package codes later.

Thanks for that. I'm off now to look at menus with my DH as he's finally agreed to help me make decisions about where we're going to eat. I will definitely be asking your advice about WDW. I've got the bug...;)

DVC = Disney Vacation Club. Basically you buy a share points in a resort (my friends have a share in the Beach Club Villas). Each point costs a certain amount (around $100 a point at the moment I think) and they last until a cartain date (about 2045 I think?) Then different seasons and different types of rooms (studio, 1, 2, 3 bedroomed villas that have full kitchens) have different points values per night. But you can save and borrow points from year to year. So last time we went which was over chistmas it cost around 900 points, my friends own 350 so they saved points one year and borrowed points from the next so we could go. This probably doesn't make sense much! But once you understand it, it is quite simple! The only thing is that you have to pay yearly dues on your resort, my friends have to pay £1000 a year for this regardless if they go or not. But the amount of dues you pay is based on the number of points you own.

The birthday tea party looks fun, esoecially if it is in the Lucky Nugget.

I'm really looking forward to Inventions in a few weeks, I haven't been there before but the reviews look fab.

I'm hoping the buffet there and at lucky nugget will be OK for my dad as he is diabetic. I guess there will be a lot of choice though which will be great for him.

Off to get ready for work now- see you all this evening. Have a good day everyone

Good morning everyone!

Just had a nice bath then going into town to get doughnuts! wooohooo!
