OT...packing for a beach house rental

This is why when we go to the beach the first thing I pack is my dad. He LOVES cooking. He brings all the food & cooks 3 meals a day for us. It is truly RELAXING! The time I went before with 2 kids & not my parents I was EXHAUSTED and dh had the gaul to say to me on day 4 that it was the best vacation he had ever taken. I nearly punched him. And the next year, I booked a cruise as revenge. Let somebody else vacuum & cook all day. HA!

But now we go with my parents. And I rent the linens. They aren't too expensive (or the one time they were we just bought new, cheap stuff at K-Mart & left it at the house.) THe place we rented last year at Corolla, NC came with linens & pots & pans. We only had to bring beach towels & gear & I brought a waffle iron & my dad brought his KitchenAid (for fresh baked bread every morning.) So much better for me.

My hubby is so excited to go and RELAX on the beach in OC, Maryland. I said to him, "I give you three days and you will be wanting to kill the kids or your self!" Men are just not used to 24/7 with the kids, no offense to them it is just that way around here anyway. He's going to have a coronary when he sees the amount of crap we have to bring! I have already started preparing him about the time we have to get on the road, 4 am (there is one road in and out and everyone changes condos on Saturday).

Oh, how I miss Disney with just my son and me!!!!!

Just back and had a GREAT time!!! I didn't forget anything. I actually packed too much. The house was totally stocked more than I had thought. That's ok because now I know what I need for next time My husband already wants to stay there for the same week next year and possibly go for a week in September

Now I have 98 days to look forward to our adult only anniversary trip to Disney.
