OT-Ontario Taxes & health care premium

When you did your taxes, did you have to pay your healthcare premium now? In the past it has always come out through paychecks but our forms that came in the mail have it coming out now. We were counting on that income tax refund but now it looks like the $900 comes out of any refund we would receive. Do we have this right??? I can't find anything online to indicate that the way we pay that premium has changed. (Darned government! The services here have not changed one bit and the supposed 'paid-for' vaccines are never available even though that's supposed to be one of the things we get from the premium. Hating Dalton McGinty right now! LOL)

I would check with your own Payroll folk because we were paying into this already when the Premium was first introduced. We have since found out that under our collective agreement,the company is responsible for 100% of all Basic Health Care Costs. So, we got a refund and now even although we still pay the premium out of our pocket every week ,it is reimbursed every January.
We had one guy who paid the premium through his tax return and then realized it was paid already through our Payroll.

I just called Revenue Canada and dh has to go back and redo the taxes. That's just a line item to guage what you should have paid so it shouldn't effect our refund. Hmmmm, we usually get over $1000 back and this year we got nothing. That kinda sucks-last year we got $3000.
