OT: News about our daughter

This has nothing to do with photography, but this is where all my Disboards friends are so, here goes.

Our daughter Alexis was picked for the WDW College Program this Fall!!!!!!

Does she know what her role will be? Our DS did it in 2003. One of the best experiences of his life!

My daughter was in the program 11 years ago - she had an amazing experience! She made a lot of friends and is still best friends with 3 of them. They have been in each other's weddings and they take turns getting together once a year alternating at the various cities that they live in (Denver, Chicago, Detroit, and Baltimore). They are a great group of young adults. I am sure that your daughter will enjoy this life experience!

We are all really excited. She is going to be in Housekeeping. At first she was worried that it would be tough, but after reading other people's experiences it sounds like the hours are good and it is not very difficult. We are happy because she has always kinda kept with the same small circle of friends and now she will be able to expand her experiences while getting a great resume builder.

This will be her first Thanksgiving and X-mas away from home...

Having the College Program on a resume absolutely helped my daughter land her first job out of college. Interviewers focused on her experience at WDW and were impressed that she had that on her resume.

Though we missed her, it sure gave us an "excuse" to go down to WDW more often during that year!
