I need some help from those of you who are from Texas. Hope you can help me. I need to know the first 2 verses from the song "Deep in the Heart of Texas". I can't find it on-line.

I can't remember how it goes. This is what I know:

"The Sun Shines Bright"
(What goes here???)
Deep in the Heart of Texas

(Need this line)
(And this line)
Deep in the Heart of Texas

I appreciate any help you can give me. For those who want to know why, My Mom wants to visit some relatives in TX and I am buying her plane ticket as a Christmas present. I want to put the lyrics in a card I'm making for her.

Thanks!
Terri

" Oh the stars at night are big and bright (clap clap clap clap), Deep in the heart of Texas. Reminds me of the one I love (clap clap clap clap) Deep in the heart of Texas. Ha can't remember rest. Too early, I'll check w/family when they wake up.

Google is your friend. Search for "deep in the heart of Texas lyrics" and here you go:

The stars at night - are big and bright
Deep in the heart of texas.
The prairie sky - is wide and high
Deep in the heart of texas.
The sage in bloom - is like perfume
Deep in the heart of texas.
Reminds me of - the one I love
Deep in the heart of texas.

The cowboys cry - ki-yip-pie-yi
Deep in the heart of texas.
The rabbits rush - around the brush
Deep in the heart of texas.
The coyotes wail - along the trail
Deep in the heart of texas.
The doggies bawl - and bawl and bawl
Deep in the heart of texas.

I found an alternate order for the second verse. I don't know the song, so I'm not sure which is correct.

The stars at night, are big and bright,
deep in the heart of Texas,
The prairie sky is wide and high,
deep in the heart of Texas.
The sage in bloom is like perfume,
deep in the heart of Texas,
Reminds me of, the one I love,
deep in the heart of Texas.

The coyotes wail, along the trail,
deep in the heart of Texas,
The rabbits rush, around the brush,
deep in the heart of Texas.
The cowboys cry, "Ki-yip-pee-yi,"
deep in the heart of Texas,
The dogies bawl, and bawl and bawl,
deep in the heart of Texas.

I didn't even have the 1st verse right.

This is great. I appreciate your help! :)

Terri
