OT - Myrtle Beach Hotel

Bit of an off topic question but hoping someone can provide a recommendation for a place to stay in Myrtle Beach in about 2 weeks from now.

Trying to help out a co-worker that has unexpectedly ended up with plans to be in the area and wants to surprise his wife with a decent place on the water in or very near Myrtle Beach for a few nights.

We go to Myrtle Beach a lot, and have stayed in several places through the years.
Three I would recommend (in no particular order):
1) Breakers
2) Springmaid Resort
3) Coral Reef

Compass Cove gets good reviews, but we had a disappointing stay there last week.
