I just got back from MGM and for the second time, I made it into the Hotseat at Millionaire. I didn't win the cruise (I was 3 questions away before I was eliminated) but it was still fun.

I never make it up on the fastest finger because I just can't allow myself to guess. I always answer the fastest finger question accurately but slowly. But once the first person makes it to the hotseat from fastest finger, I am good to go. I'm good with the accuracy so when they bomb out, I am usually in one of the top spots. I won a hat, lots of pins, a lanyard, and a Millionaire shirt.

Last time I was in the hotseat, I had my King Kong shirt on. That made for interesting conversation in the hotseat. ;) This time, I wasn't wearing a Universal shirt so no free advertising.

congrats phamton on the big win. sounds like you won oodles of goodies today. i love pins but only get in the top ten when i play it.

hey, did you use your free life lines?

last month the lottery
this month the millionaire game.

what's next?

Wow phamton, you rock! :cool2:

I'm with macraven, what will be next?

Winning the Boston Marathon?

Maybe making one of those half-court basketball shots for a million dollars?

Hmmm, the lottery was luck, but millionare was brains. Maybe theres some combination of the two. Maybe some entreprenurial endeavour is next. Keep us posted. :sunny:

I'm pretty good at trivia games like Millionaire and Jeopardy. For some reason, useless information is just stored in my long term memory and yet, half the time, I call my kids the wrong names.

phamton, did you by chance also try to go during the real show tapings (walk in and win?)

I went last year, was chosen to get into the audience, but I never got to the hot seat. I heard they did it again in January but I missed it

No I didn't go to the taping. They did do it this year but I was working at the time.

Thats really cool. I've never taken the time to do Millionaire. What kinds of questions do they ask?

they ask all types of general questions.

and of course the disney ones........

i always screw up on the disney movie and actor questions.

lots of the questions are similar to the ones on the tv show
