OT - looking for family friendly beach front resort in Miami

Sorry this is off topic but I'm looking for help from someone who is familiar with the Miami Beach area. We're cruising out of the port of Miami in March and want to spend a few days in Miami afterward. We're looking for a beachfront location with family style amenities for a 2 and 4 year old. Thanks!

The Lowes and the Fountainbleu are probably the two most kid-friendly.

One thing to note with kids: In Miami public beaches are, by default, topless. I think there is a "family beach" up on 86th St.

Are you planning on spending the night or just spending the day there?

We stayed at the Marriott in Hollywood Beach prior to our cruise out of Miami. It was very gorgeous and family friendly. Although it wouldn't be a quick stop at the beach before heading to the Miami airport later in the day kind of place. Its in Hollywood Beach, kind of between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

I spend a lot of time in that area. I personally don't think any of it is family friendly.
I would also suggest staying in Hollywood, that Marriott is nice or Sunny Isles(a little closer to Maimi) there is a Doubltree guests suites right on the beach will all amenities or the Trump Sonesta Beach hotel.
There is also the Westin Dilpomat on the beach in Hollywood.
