OT: KOA discount question

We're planning a quick trip in May and want to stay at a KOA cabin for three nights. Apparently you can save 10% with a membership card and the member receives points for every stay when the card is used. Can a member share his/her membership number -- I get the discount and he/she gets the points?

No flames if this is not acceptable, please. I saw this done on another board but knew my DIS pals would have the right answer.

We no longer have a card. IIRC they ask to see the card.

That's correct - you typically have to show the card on check in

If you have an RV show in the area see if KOA will be there. Ours was giving out one time use cards (just the 10%) attached to their maps.
