OT- Jogging strollers

I'm looking for recommendations for a good jogging stroller. I don't run, but walk several miles a day. Dd is typically worn everywhere except on these walks. I currently put her in her infant car seat that attaches to a Combi stroller. It isn't the softest ride, so I thought a jogging stroller would be better.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good jogger. She is our last child, and I'm not a runner, so I don't know if I could get away with one that doesn't cost $400. I was looking at the Bob Revolution, but it's expensive and wanted to see if there was cheaper one that will still work for us.

I'm not up on current models, but I did want to give you one piece of advice...since you don't run, make sure that it has a swivel front wheel. I walked with a fixed front wheel jogger, and it was such a pain! I bought it because it was inexpensive, but I ended up spending more money to buy a stroller that I liked!

I have a Mountain Buggy Urban, and I love it. It is pricey though ($370 or so, but that was 3 1/2 years ago). And I bought it for our last child when she was a year old, but that is when we started walking my older DD to school 5 days a week most weeks and then we go on a longer walk most days (4-5 miles). I reasoned that I would put a lot of miles on it. It was completely worth it.

I have a neighbor who loves her Jeep stroller, and they aren't as pricey.

I have a Baby Jogger City Series, but there is also the City Mini Series which is just slightly smaller and about $100 less.

I LOVE it and it's the only stroller my kids don't mind riding in. We use it everywhere we go even though it's bulky!

We have a Jeep with the air filled tires (like bicycle tires) that is pretty nice. It is bulky, but it has a nice ride. The version we have also has speakers and a connection for an MP3 player, but there is also one without it. It does have a swivel front wheel.

I also have a Mountain Buggy Urban Single. I love it. You can jog with it no problem. I use this stroller for everything and it goes everywhere. No problems with it at all. And it goes over all terrain!

I own a Dreamer Design double jogger and I LOVE it. It wasn't cheap, but it's a double. The singles are cheaper. They have both fixed wheel and swivel joggers available. They are really good strollers, with lots of excellent storage and really good sun canopies.

The MBUS is a very nice option and has a good high weight limit the same w/ the the baby jogger city classic and elite. The city mini is a much better option over your combi will last much long and you can also purchase and attachment for it to connect your infant seat but you may look into a good snuzzler to put in it for your dd to ride that way. www.mamabargains.com has been listing the easywalker sky for 219 and flat rate shipping of 15 dollars it has a 75 pound weight limit and they have also been listing the carry cots for it for about 50 is she is still small enough to ride in it. The biggest difference between all of these and the bjcm is that the mini doesn't have the air filled tires that the others do.

I have the Baby Jogger Mini (a double). I don't run either, but walk frequently and over different terrain. This stroller is great!

I have the baby jogger city elite double. It's bulky but I absolutely love this stroller. My girls love riding in it too. It also has shocks which makes the ride smooth for the little ones.

I just got an awesome BOB Revolution off Craigslist for $200 (which is a great deal for here in HI, not sure about the mainland.) Maybe watch Craigslist?

Thanks everyone for your help. We made it over to Buybuybaby yesterday. It was good to see them in person after reading the reviews on line. I couldn't believe how big the Bob Revolution was. Way too much stoller for me.
I think we decided on the Baby Jogger Mini. It is only 16.5#, has an awesome folding mechanism, pushes really nicely and is only $229 new. It seems perfect for someone who isn't a runner, but still wants a nice smooth ride. Plus they have an orange one, which is my dhs favorite color.
Now we just have to decide where to get it from. Seems that most places sell for the same price.

Thanks again. I haven't been in the market for strollers for 5 years. Dd2 was a total sling baby and never sat in a stroller. I'm sad that this is our last dd, they make some nice ones now.

you will get your best deals from sporting good stores online. search the web to see if you can find a coupon code. I was able to find one for moosejaw.com when I bought mine and got my stroller for 197 and free shipping. I will check b/c somewhere had one w/ a coupon for 184 or 187 and I will let you know.
